Marjorie Taylor Greene wearing an earpiece during recent court testimony.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Verdict: False<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is no earpiece or wire visible in the original footage of the congresswoman\u2019s testimony. A spokesperson for Greene denied the claim that she wore an earpiece.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Greene testified in an Atlanta court April 22 in defense of comments she made prior to the January 6 Capitol Hill riots, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/04\/22\/1094273441\/marjorie-taylor-greene-is-in-court-as-part-of-a-legal-challenge-to-her-candidacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NPR<\/a>. Her testimony was in response to a pro-democracy non-profit, called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/freespeechforpeople.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Free Speech For People<\/a>,\u201d which is seeking to disqualify Greene from reelection for her alleged support and encouragement of the rioters, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/msHQ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">image<\/a> appears to show Greene fixing her hair, revealing an earpiece that may have fallen out of place. \u201cEarpiece at her armpit, got suck (sic) in her hair. See?\u201d reads text included in the image.<\/p>\n<p>The claim is unsupported. The scene in question can be viewed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c-span.org\/video\/?c5011926\/user-clip-arm-raise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video clip<\/a> of Greene\u2019s testimony found on C-SPAN that shows the congresswoman fixing her hair. Notably, there is no earpiece visible in her hair. A collection of photos captured by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/photos\/marjorie-taylor-greene?assettype=image&#038;editorialproducts=news&#038;agreements=ed%3A7788%2Cpa%3A114372&#038;family=editorial&#038;phrase=marjorie%20taylor%20greene&#038;sort=best&#038;events=775803522\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Getty Images <\/a>of Greene\u2019s testimony likewise show no signs of an earpiece.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook image appears to be altered in a way that makes it seem as if a thick strand of her hair is actually an earpiece. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/02\/22\/fact-check-marjorie-taylor-greene-quote-electricity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Marjorie Taylor Greene Say This Quote About Electricity?)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just another ridiculous conspiracy theory,\u201d Nick Dyer, a spokesperson for Greene, told Check Your Fact via email.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a public official has been accused of wearing a wire.
