Food prices grew 7.9% within the same timespan, while energy prices rose by 25.6%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The distribution of funds from COVID-19 relief to measures unrelated to the pandemic were also highlighted, citing <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/covid-health-business-florida-new-york-1c54ec32b2e31ed10bb1628379763425\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">analysis<\/a> of state and local governments by the Associated Press in March. The ads said the representatives\u2019 votes led to Americans \u201cpaying record prices for almost everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse Democrats voted for trillions in reckless spending that funded luxury hotels, golf courses, and ski resorts,\u201d NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/finance\/3466628-house-gop-campaign-arm-hits-vulnerable-house-democrats-on-inflation-in-new-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">told<\/a> The Hill in a statement. \u201cNow every American is paying a $5,200 inflation tax every year.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/26\/donald-trump-jd-vance-mehmet-oz-nancy-mace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: These Are The States Where Trump\u2019s Endorsement Actually Matters)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The GOP is widely expected to win back the House in November in the wake of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/15\/really-bad-number-cnn-biden-trouble-low-approval-ratings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">low public opinion<\/a> towards President Joe Biden.
