We\u2019re looking more carefully at the inclusive language suggestions and have paused those for further review while we continue to improve this feature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The feature would reportedly show pop-up warnings about supposed non-inclusive words like \u201cpoliceman,\u201d \u201cfireman\u201d or \u201chousewife,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/25\/google-unveils-woke-writing-feature-for-inclusive-language\/?utm_source=reddit.com\">according to The New York Post<\/a>. The publication reported that the feature might suggest the word \u201chumankind\u201d instead of \u201cmankind\u201d or\u00a0\u201cpolice officer\u201d instead of \u201cpoliceman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Writers for Vice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en\/article\/v7dk8m\/googles-ai-powered-inclusive-warnings-feature-is-very-broken\">who tested the feature<\/a> reportedly found that the words \u201cannoyed\u2019 and \u201cMotherboard\u201d were flagged for being non-inclusive, while a wildly racist transcription of an interview with former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke was not flagged.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, according to Vice, the feature suggested that Martin Luther King Jr. should have said civil rights leaders should act with \u201cthe intense urgency of now\u201d rather than \u201cthe fierce urgency of now\u201d in his acclaimed \u201cI Have a Dream\u201d speech.<\/p>\n<p>It also suggested former President John F. Kennedy should have swapped \u201cfor all humankind\u201d for the phrase \u201cfor all mankind\u201d in his inaugural address, according to Vice, and that Jesus Christ should have used the word \u201clovely,\u201d \u201cgreat,\u201d or \u201cmarvelous\u201d rather than \u201cwonderful\u201d in the Sermon on the Mount.<\/p>\n<p>The feature, which was not currently in place on Google Docs as of noon on Tuesday, comes as conservatives increasingly look to create alternative options to woke corporations, businesses, and social media platforms, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/by-conservatives-for-conservatives-new-credit-card-offers-alternative-to-americans-fed-up-with-woke-businesses\">new credit card Coign<\/a>, the social media platform\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gettr.com\/onboarding\">GETTR<\/a>, former President Donald Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/\">Truth Social<\/a>, and the global internet infrastructure company,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/rightforge.com\/\">RightForge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>News that it has been paused followed criticism that the feature was intrusive, woke and \u201cvery broken,\u201d as Vice reported.<\/p>\n<p>Transgender activist Debbie Hayton suggested that Google\u2019s inclusivity feature was Orwellian, tweeting, \u201cDon\u2019t you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?
