Vance have seen their polling numbers jump after receiving Trump\u2019s endorsement.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>In Georgia, former Sen. David Perdue has not been able to take the lead over incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp, despite Trump\u2019s support.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump has made 145 endorsements since he left office with his support giving candidates varying degrees of success, boosting certain candidates while failing to help others.<\/p>\n<p>In Pennsylvania and Ohio, candidates have received polling bumps after Trump\u2019s endorsement, while several of the former president\u2019s picks in Georgia have failed to take the lead.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Pennsylvania<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Trump waded into the Republican Party\u2019s primary for retiring Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey\u2019s open Senate seat in April, choosing to endorse <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/09\/donald-trump-endorses-mehmet-oz-pennsylvania-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Mehmet Oz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The former talk show host had been trailing former Bridgewater Associates CEO David McCormick, but a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrafalgargroup.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/TRF-PA-22-GOP-Sen-Primary-0415-Poll-Report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">poll<\/a>\u00a0from Trafalgar Group released after Trump\u2019s endorsement had Oz up by three points, his highest since February.<\/p>\n<h4>Ohio<\/h4>\n<p>Trump also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/15\/trump-endorses-jd-vance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">inserted himself<\/a> into Ohio\u2019s highly contentious primary to replace retiring Republican Sen. Rob Portman.\u00a0Despite opposition from the Ohio Republican Party, Trump endorsed J.D. Vance, who had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/senate\/oh\/ohio_senate_republican_primary-7456.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trailing<\/a> in the polls to both Mike Gibbons and Josh Mandel, and faced criticism from opponents for his criticism of Trump during the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Internal polling from Vance showed the \u201cHillbilly Elegy\u201d author taking the lead in the aftermath of the endorsement, The Washington Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2022\/apr\/21\/jd-vance-gets-trump-bounce-ohio-senate-race-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Vance had been in a three-way tie with Mandel and Gibbons in the prior internal poll.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7416927\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7416927\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Former President Donald Trump listens as J.D. Lisa Murkowski, who voted for Trump\u2019s impeachment after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, is facing off against <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/18\/donald-trump-endorses-lisa-murkowskis-republican-challenger-2022-kelly-tshibaka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kelly Tshibaka<\/a>. In a March Cygnal poll commissioned by Tshibaka\u2019s campaign, Murkowski was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/566814206\/Alaska-poll#fullscreen&#038;from_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shown<\/a> losing to her challenger by 2 points.<\/p>\n<p>Alaska, however, has done away with party primaries, and will instead allow the top four candidates to move on to the general election, which will be subjected to a ranked-choice voting system that could benefit Murkowski, New York Magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/article\/ranked-choice-voting-lisa-murkowski.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Georgia<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Former Republican Georgia Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/06\/trump-endorses-david-perdue-in-bid-oust-brian-kemp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Perdue<\/a>\u2018s primary challenge to incumbent Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, who angered Trump when he refused to overturn President Joe Biden\u2019s victory in the 2020 presidential election, has also thus far floundered in the polls.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Trump\u2019s endorsement, Perdue has trailed Kemp in most polling, including an April poll from Emerson College commissioned by The Hill that <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/news\/campaign\/3260567-georgia-incumbents-kemp-raffensperger-lead-trump-backed-challengers-poll\/?rl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">showed<\/a> Kemp leading with 43% percent of the vote, compared to Perdue\u2019s 35%. The poll, which was conducted less than a week after Trump visited the state, also had incumbent Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger beating Trump-backed Rep. Jody Hice.<\/p>\n<p>Retired NFL star-turned-Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker has Trump\u2019s endorsement in his Georgia primary and is performing much better. (Photo by ROBYN BECK\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, candidates lacking Walker\u2019s name recognition have had trouble letting voters know they have Trump\u2019s endorsement.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>South Carolina and Arizona<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Katie Arrington, who is running to unseat incumbent Republican South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace, released internal <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PollProjectUSA\/status\/1500902692671029248\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">polling<\/a> in March that showed Mace with a 15-point lead.<\/p>\n<p>After voters were informed that Trump supported Arrington, Mace trailed by 18 points, a dramatic shift.<\/p>\n<p>In the Republican primary for Arizona\u2019s gubernatorial race, Trump endorsed Kari Lake, who initially led by double digits but only managed single-digit leads in the two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2022\/governor\/Arizona.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">polls<\/a> conducted for the race in 2022.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Alabama<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Trump also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/23\/trump-withdraws-endorsement-mo-brooks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rescinded<\/a> his endorsement of Alabama Senate candidate Rep. Mo Brooks, who initially held a large lead in the open primary, in March after two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbrc.com\/2022\/03\/22\/durant-leads-britt-with-brooks-distant-3rd-exclusive-new-gray-tvala-daily-news-poll\/\">polls<\/a>\u00a0showed Brooks with less than 20%\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1tyQxhPKjw9B0GF0Ou1xdVjqqe0a-jLGy\/view\">support<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable.
