This comes as several states have passed laws protecting the unborn.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">CalMatters added that \u201ca package of a dozen abortion rights bills moving through the Legislature could expand the number of providers, provide financial assistance to women traveling to California to terminate their pregnancies, and legally protect doctors who treat them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Reportedly, Jodi Hicks, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California said that \u201cpeople from across the country are already looking to California as a haven state, as a beacon to provide them the care they need\u201d and that it is their \u201cmoral imperative\u201d to be a leader when it comes to abortion access.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In November, Townhall\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2021\/11\/16\/newsom-aims-to-boost-californias-abortion-infrastructure-report-n2599190\">covered<\/a> how California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said he was looking to boost the state\u2019s \u201cabortion infrastructure\u201d to acommodate more out-of-state patients. Newsom and other pro-abortion lawmakers formed a coaltion called the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2021\/12\/08\/california-abortion-coucil-unviels-plans-to-become-an-abortion-sanctuary-n2600332\">California Future of Abortion Coucil<\/a> where it outlined several policies to implement for perople to terminate their pregnancies. This included increased public spending toward abortion srevices and patients traveling from out-of-state to obtain one.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the contrary, several pro-life lawmakers across the country have created legislation to protect the unborn, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2022\/03\/07\/desantis-expected-to-sign-15-week-abortion-ban-into-law-n2604214\">Florida<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2022\/03\/24\/idaho-governor-signs-texas-style-abortion-ban-into-law-n2604984\">Idaho<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2022\/02\/10\/report-shows-impact-of-texas-heartbeat-abortion-law-one-month-after-it-took-eff-n2603131\">Texas<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/landonmion\/2021\/09\/07\/kristi-noem-issues-executive-order-banning-telemedicine-abortions-n2595501\">South Dakota<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2022\/03\/31\/arizona-gov-ducey-signs-bills-limiting-abortion-and-protecting-womens-sports-n2605312\">Arizona<\/a>. Florida\u2019s law mirrors Mississippi\u2019s 15-week abortion ban that is currently being\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2021\/12\/02\/leftists-lose-it-over-possible-roe-v-wade-overturn-n2599985\">challenged<\/a> at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/madelineleesman\/2021\/12\/01\/pro-abortion-activists-urge-supreme-court-to-uphold-roe-v-wade-amid-mississippi-n2599916\">Supreme Court.<\/a> Idaho\u2019s law closely resembles Texas\u2019 six week abortion ban, which allows citizens to pursue legal action against anyone who provides an illegal abortion after fetal heartbeat detection.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In Arizona GOP Gov.
