That has to change,\u201d was published December 18, 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Notably, before the trial kicked off, Heard took to Instagram and pointed out that she had never mentioned Depp\u2019s name in the piece.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJohnny is suing me for an op-ed I wrote in The Washington Post, in which I recounted my experience of violence and domestic abuse,\u201d the actress <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CcI_qpVP0ZL\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;ig_rid=69f4525e-faa7-4274-9bdf-69d33e53e3b3\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cI never named him, rather I wrote about the price women pay for speaking out against men in power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI continue to pay that price,\u201d Heard claimed, \u201cbut hopefully when this case concludes, I can move on and so can Johnny.
