Both McCormicks <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/13\/david-mccormick-enters-pennsylvania-senate-primary-mehmet-oz\/\">served<\/a> in the George W. Bush administration, and Dina Powell McCormick also served in the Trump administration. Former President Donald Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/09\/donald-trump-endorses-mehmet-oz-pennsylvania-senate\/\">endorsed<\/a> David McCormick\u2019s chief rival, former reality show host and heart surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz, citing Oz\u2019s perceived electability. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/30\/mehmet-oz-declares-pennsylvania-senate\/\">(RELATED: Dr. Oz Declares Candidacy For Republican Pennsylvania Senate Seat)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than 60 Goldman Sachs employees have donated to McCormick\u2019s Senate campaign, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/04\/22\/2022-elections-wall-street-billionaires-back-pennsylvania-gop-senate-primary-.html\">according<\/a> to an analysis from CNBC, including CEO David Solomon, who hosted a fundraiser for McCormick in February. Solomon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00800623&#038;contributor_name=David+Solomon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> the federal maximum $5,8000 to McCormick\u2019s campaign. In addition, Goldman Sachs chief of staff and secretary to the Board of Directors John Rogers has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00798116&#038;contributor_name=Rogers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given<\/a> $50,000 to the pro-McCormick Honor Pennsylvania Super PAC.<\/p>\n<p>Citadel CEO Ken Griffin has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00798116&#038;contributor_name=griffin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given<\/a> $7.5 million to Honor Pennsylvania, in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00800623&#038;contributor_name=Griffin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">giving<\/a> the federal maximum to the McCormick campaign. Griffin, a top GOP donor, has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/18\/ron-desantis-ap-hit-piece-regeneron\/\">given<\/a> large amounts of money to Florida Gov. REUTERS\/Mike Blake<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Other top donors to Honor Pennsylvania include former <a href=\"http:\/\/www.actua.com\/about\/\">Actua Corporation<\/a> CEO Walter \u201cBuck\u201d Buckley, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00798116&#038;contributor_name=buckley\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given<\/a> $1.25 million, and Elliott Management CEO Paul Singer, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00798116&#038;contributor_name=singer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given<\/a> $1 million. Singer also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00800623&#038;contributor_name=Singer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> the federal maximum to the McCormick campaign. Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00798116&#038;contributor_name=Schwarzman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chipped<\/a> in $500,000 to Honor Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>American Leadership Action, a Super PAC supporting Oz, has received several donations from Wall Street executives, although not as many as have supported McCormick. Former Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00794891&#038;contributor_name=Mack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> $600,000 to American Leadership Action, while <a href=\"https:\/\/trianpartners.com\/\">Trian Partners<\/a> founder Nelson Peltz has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00794891&#038;contributor_name=peltz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">given<\/a> $80,000.<\/p>\n<p>McCormick\u2019s Wall Street donors believe that he will be a more predictable and supportive senator than Oz, according to Kirkland &#038; Ellis partner Reginald <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kirkland.com\/lawyers\/b\/brown-reginald\">Brown<\/a>. Brown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=efiling&#038;committee_id=C00800623&#038;contributor_name=Reginald+Brown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">donated<\/a> the federal maximum to McCormick\u2019s campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a strong sense that [McCormick] won\u2019t be a loose cannon and is ready to be a statesman in a very challenging world,\u201d he explained to CNBC. \u201cDr. Oz is a TV personality who served on the President\u2019s Council on Fitness.
