The Big Tech company claimed that WRN could appeal if the unpublishing seemed to be a mistake but the link given by Facebook\u2019s support team is broken. <\/p>\n<p>Facebook did not respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery American should be deeply concerned by the fact that a few unaccountable big tech companies are controlling the free flow of information in our democracy, and that the decisions they make are often arbitrary and unfair,\u201d Jim Piwowarczyk, WRN owner and contributor, told The Federalist. \u201cWhat has happened to us is a very troubling example of this, and we call on Facebook to reverse its decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even before Facebook nuked WRN\u2019s main page, the social media company restricted the page\u2019s ability to invite new followers to \u201clike\u201d the page and live-stream videos for simply reporting the news.<\/p>\n<p>Even though WRN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsinrightnow.com\/2022\/03\/11\/jessica-mcbride-milwaukee\/\">won numerous awards<\/a> for its airtight coverage of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, Facebook limited the news site\u2019s ability to share articles about the young gunman. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe led coverage on this case, going to the scene, interviewing witnesses a half-hour after it happened, uncovering missing ballistics evidence mentioned during the trial, and more,\u201d Piwowarczyk explained. <\/p>\n<p>Facebook still suppressed WRN\u2019s coverage even after the media company published an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wisconsinrightnow.com\/2021\/11\/13\/kyle-rittenhouse-gun-charge\/\">analysis<\/a> stating the firearm charge against Rittenhouse wouldn\u2019t stand under Wisconsin gun laws, something the judge presiding over the case publicly ruled one day later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFacebook then did not remove the violations when Rittenhouse was acquitted,\u201d Piwowarczyk said. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"473\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/rittenhouse.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-271175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/rittenhouse.webp 473w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/rittenhouse-139x300.webp 139w\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Facebook also enlisted the help of its fake \u201cfact-checkers\u201d to censor reposts about Hillary Clinton\u2019s role in promoting the Russian collusion hoax and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Destiny\/comments\/qu99jx\/prosecution_should_1v1_kyle_in_rust_for_the\/\">meme<\/a> about Rittenhouse playing video games with his judge.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"370\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/78144.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-271174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/78144.jpeg 370w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/78144-139x300.jpeg 139w\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe have reported many stories the mainstream media will not, and it is highly questionable and troubling that Facebook would seek to prevent Wisconsin voters in a key battleground state (where Facebook-traced money was involved in elections) from learning all sides of the equation in the political debate and other news stories, especially as the midterm elections loom,\u201d Piwowarczyk said. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
