Instead, it vaguely referenced what\u2019s happened in the \u201clast few weeks\u201d and said that the family has been focusing on \u201chealing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsidering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing,\u201d the message read. \u201cSome of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/S98mn8H8F7\">pic.twitter.com\/S98mn8H8F7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Red Table Talk (@RedTableTalk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RedTableTalk\/status\/1516927992915578880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cUntil then \u2026 the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest,\u201d it added. \u201cThanks for joining us, Jada.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following Smith\u2019s actions at the Oscars, the \u201cMen In Black\u201d star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CbqmaY1p7Pz\/\">apologized<\/a> to Rock and conceded that he\u2019d been \u201cout of line\u201d and \u201cwrong.\u201d Shortly after the apology, he announced he was resigning from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences amid disciplinary proceedings from the Academy over his actions on March 27.<\/p>\n<p>The Academy later shared that Smith was banned from attending the Oscars for 10 years for slapping Rock, as previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/will-smith-banned-from-attending-oscars-for-ten-years-over-chris-rock-slap\">reported<\/a> by The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 94th Oscars were meant to be a celebration of the many individuals in our community who did incredible work this past year; however, those moments were overshadowed by the unacceptable and harmful behavior we saw Mr. Smith exhibit on stage,\u201d an \u201cOpen Letter to Our Academy Family\u201d from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences CEO Dawn Hudson and President David Rubin read in part.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring our telecast, we did not adequately address the situation in the room,\u201d the letter added. \u201cFor this, we are sorry.
