The rumor stems from a satirical website that features \u201chumor, parody, and satire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post alleges Fauci, who serves as the chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden, had been sentenced to death by a panel of military officers following a trial.<\/p>\n<p>The claim is false. None of the Defense Department or Navy Judge Advocate General Corps\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064688230749\/search\/?q=Anthony%20Fauci\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064955851150\/search\/?q=Anthony%20Fauci\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=Anthony%20Fauci%20(from%3ANavy_JAG%20OR%20from%3ADeptofDefense)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts<\/a> mention Fauci being sentenced to death. Likewise, no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/Releases\/?Search=David+Axelrod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jag.navylive.dodlive.mil\/News\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">releases<\/a> from either agency mention a military tribunal handing Fauci a death sentence.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/04\/19\/fact-check-anthony-fauci-military-tribunal-article\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recently<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/04\/14\/fact-check-anthony-fauci-arrest-niaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">debunked<\/a> other rumors claiming Fauci had been arrested and was facing a military tribunal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/anthony-fauci-covid-mask-mandate-judge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CBS News<\/a> interviewed Fauci on April 21, one day after the post claimed he had been convicted and sentenced to hang. The NIAID director\u00a0appeared on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/redandblue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Red &#038; Blue<\/a>\u201d to discuss a \u201cdangerous precedent\u201d being set after a federal judge in Florida overturned a federal mask mandate for travelers on airplanes, buses and trains, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>A keyword search traced the text of the Facebook post back to an <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2022\/04\/military-sentences-fauci-to-hang\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> first posted April 20 on Real Raw News.
