In an undercover video, a <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-cnn-veteran-operations-manager-joins-project-veritas-as-executive-producer\">Project Veritas<\/a> journalist tells Brennan Suen &#8220;You gotta like, hammer these f*cking Project Veritas people,&#8221; leading him on further, saying &#8220;We gotta hammer them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;Thank you,&#8221; Suen says, &#8220;we have people doing it, it&#8217;s just hard. Actually, you know, they&#8217;re not on Twitter anymore. So we have had some victories. And finally got some of their horrible videos off.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;They&#8217;re not on Twitter anymore?&#8221; the Veritas journalist asks incredulously. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;Nope,&#8221; Suen replies. &#8220;They&#8217;re blocked. Thanks to the work we&#8217;ve been doing. But I do appreciate that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Suen said that, despite Media Matters&#8217; efforts to get Project Veritas banned, Veritas still has ways to get their content distributed, something called distribution by proxy. This is where others share Veritas&#8217; content despite the bans.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;But it&#8217;s not nearly the same engagement,&#8221; Suen said. He went on to say that Media Matters &#8220;monitors them and exposes them and we try to make sure people know what&#8217;s going on.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;Hopefully people are educated and don&#8217;t fall for their tricks,&#8221; Suen said, while falling directly for one of those &#8220;tricks.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Suen suggested that the journalist &#8220;Google &#8216;Project Veritas Media Matters&#8217; and I think you&#8217;ll see some of our content about it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;And if it&#8217;s not public, you know, we do a lot of stuff with partner orgs too, to raise awareness, so it&#8217;s not always like content on our website,&#8221; Suen said.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Media Matters claims that Project Veritas is a &#8220;Far-right political organization that secretly records and falsifies conversations with governmental and political organizations to manufacture conservative-leaning narratives.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>&#8220;Founded by far-right political activist James O\u2019Keefe, Project Veritas has a history of recording governmental and political employees, then editing their comments to distort their intent,&#8221; they say.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Project Veritas was <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-justice-department-secretly-spied-on-project-veritas-journalists-security-details-apple-and-google-accounts\">spied<\/a> on by the Department of Justice. Documents show the DOJ &#8220;compelled Apple and Google not to disclose that they were providing the individual\u2019s private data to the government,&#8221; Veritas reported. Veritas announced they they would file a motion that outlines how the DOJ&#8217;s actions violated the Privacy Protection Act and the Fourth Amendment, in addition to the First Amendment and Common Law Reporter\u2019s Privilege.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Media Matters has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediamatters.org\/project-veritas\/nyt-report-highlights-problems-calling-project-veritas-operatives-journalists\">reported<\/a> that &#8220;Project Veritas almost always directly lies to its targets while trying to obtain information, a line not often crossed by journalists today. In the past, the group\u2019s operatives have pretended to go on dates with the victims of its sting operations and have posed as victims of assault in order to get footage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>In Suen&#8217;s case, all it took was for a Project Veritas journalist to praise Media Matters for Suen to take credit for getting the media outlet banned from Twitter.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p><em>Brennan Suen was reached for comment.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Project Veritas went undercover to expose Media Matters&#8217; Director of External Affairs actually taking credit for getting Veritas banned from Twitter.
