The law passed the state legislature in March, then <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/14\/andy-beshear-kentucky-veto-overruled-womens-sports-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overrode<\/a> Democratic <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/03\/20\/kentucky-abortions-matt-bevin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kentucky<\/a> Gov. Andy Beshear\u2019s veto last week.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEWS: Abortions can happen again in Kentucky \u2014 for now.<\/p>\n<p>A federal judge has temporarily blocked the state\u2019s sweeping new abortion law, HB3, which clinics said made it impossible to provide care.<\/p>\n<p>If Roe is overturned this summer, KY has a trigger ban that would outlaw abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Shefali Luthra (@shefalil) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/shefalil\/status\/1517229842042863623?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 21, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.legislature.ky.gov\/recorddocuments\/bill\/22RS\/hb3\/bill.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">legislation<\/a> bans abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy and requires medical professionals to report fetal deaths after 20 weeks of gestation and the disposal of human remains to waste facilities. Physicians violating the law will lose their medical licenses for no less than six months except in medical emergencies. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/26\/375-women-supreme-court-harms-late-term-abortion-dobbs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Here\u2019s What 375 Women Told The Supreme Court About The Harms Of Late-Term Abortion)\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The judge did not point to the constitutionality of the bill, which the U.S. Supreme Court is currently taking up in the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/01\/supreme-court-hears-oral-arguments-in-case-challenging-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">case<\/a> <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em>, which challenges a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/30\/what-media-ignores-about-abortion-law-center-major-supreme-court-case-according-mississippi-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mississippi law<\/a> also outlawing abortion procedures after 15 weeks of pregnancy.
