Now that the episode in question finally aired, however, viewers are riled up all over again, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/20\/rudy-giuliani-masked-singer-reveal-prompts-ken-jeong-to-walk-off-stage\/\"><span>according to<\/span><\/a><span> the New York Post.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The episode shows Giuliani popping out of a jack in the box costume while singing his version of \u201cBad to the Bone.\u201d The judges and audience all looked shocked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIs that Robert Duval?\u201d judge Nicole Scherzinger asked, confused.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cNo, that\u2019s not Robert Duval,\u201d Ken Jeong replied glumly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI broke a thousand hearts before I met you. I\u2019ll break a thousand more, baby, before I am through,\u201d Giuliani sang.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt can\u2019t get badder than that,\u201d Thicke joked about the former mayor\u2019s singing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a fit of anger, Jeong says, \u201cI\u2019m done\u201d and walks backstage. Judge Robin Thicke stayed seated but looked irritated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>While Jeong and Thicke reacted harshly to Giuliani\u2019s unveiling, Scherzinger and judge Jenny McCarthy enthusiastically danced and clapped as the politician continued singing his song.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Later, Giuliani told host Nick Cannon that he was inspired to come on the show because of his granddaughter Grace, the daughter of New York governor hopeful Andrew Giuliani.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI just had a granddaughter, Grace, and I want her to know that you should try everything, even the things that are completely unlike you and unlikely \u2014 and I can\u2019t think of anything more unlike me and unlikely than this,\u201d Giuliani said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Social media reactions to the former mayor\u2019s appearance were mixed, mostly divided based on political affiliation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCan we please stop putting traitors like Rudy Giuliani on shows like The Masked Singer?\u201d BrooklynDad_Defiant wrote. \u201cStop normalizing criminals.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cRudy Giuliani singing \u201cBad to the Bone\u201d on #TheMaskedSinger is a new low point for reality TV,\u201d a tweet from The Daily Beast read.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIs this how you teach your kids to treat someone they don\u2019t like? You acted like a spoiled brat. There\u2019s no place for this on a family show. @kenjeong disappointed a lot of people tonight. #TheMaskedSinger,\u201d someone else <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mamurf41\/status\/1516947170863337472\"><span>shared<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>CNN anchor John Berman commented on Giuliani\u2019s inclusion previously when news broke that he\u2019d be on the show.<\/span><span> \u201cYou know, next week on \u2018The Masked Singer\u2019: Harvey Weinstein. The week after that: Manuel Noriega. Great job, guys. Great job. I hope the viewers that you\u2019re attracting here are worth it to you,\u201d Berman joked, The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/next-week-harvey-weinstein-cnns-john-berman-blows-up-over-rudy-giulianis-masked-singer-debut\">reported<\/a> at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Berman also read a tweet that he identified as summing up his thoughts on the Giuliani appearance.
