{"id":1448447,"date":"2022-04-21T07:41:57","date_gmt":"2022-04-21T11:41:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/?p=1448447"},"modified":"2022-04-21T07:41:59","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T11:41:59","slug":"floridas-parental-rights-law-has-left-leftists-a-sad-frustrated-mess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/floridas-parental-rights-law-has-left-leftists-a-sad-frustrated-mess\/","title":{"rendered":"Florida\u2019s Parental Rights Law Has Left Leftists a Sad, Frustrated Mess"},"content":{"rendered":"<aside class=\"mashsb-container mashsb-main mashsb-stretched\"><div class=\"mashsb-box\"><div class=\"mashsb-count mash-medium\" style=\"float:left\"><div class=\"counts mashsbcount\">22<\/div><span class=\"mashsb-sharetext\">SHARES<\/span><\/div><div class=\"mashsb-buttons\"><a class=\"mashicon-facebook mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.conservativenewsdaily.net%2Fbreaking-news%2Ffloridas-parental-rights-law-has-left-leftists-a-sad-frustrated-mess%2F\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Facebook<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-twitter mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/intent\/tweet?text=&amp;url=https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/?p=1448447&amp;via=ConservNewsDly\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Twitter<\/span><\/a><a class=\"mashicon-subscribe mash-medium mash-nomargin mashsb-noshadow\" href=\"#\" target=\"_top\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span class=\"icon\"><\/span><span class=\"text\">Subscribe<\/span><\/a><div class=\"onoffswitch2 mash-medium mashsb-noshadow\" style=\"display:none\"><\/div><\/div>\n            <\/div>\n                <div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div><\/aside>\n            <!-- Share buttons by mashshare.net - Version: 4.0.47--><div><\/div>\n<p>The perpetually miserable left has apparently reached the \u201cacceptance\u201d stage of grieving over Florida\u2019s new parental rights law, but <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/14\/washington-posts-aaron-blake-defends-groomers-in-public-schools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">their funny hysteria<\/a> is still the same.<\/p>\n<p>Within the last week, The Washington Post ran two articles offering the same idea for \u201cqueer\u201d and transgender leftists <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/07\/how-to-be-a-gay-or-transgender-teacher-in-florida-under-the-new-dont-say-gay-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">who hate the legislation<\/a>: sue teachers who acknowledge biological reality!<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a serious proposal from the Post\u2019s Kate Cohen, who wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/04\/15\/florida-dont-say-gay-says-dont-say-straight-too\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April 15<\/a>, \u201cWhat if we took these laws at their word and treated every lesson that endorsed any sexual orientation or gender schema as an actionable offense?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Do tell!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat if we filed a complaint every time a teacher instructed our children to use certain bathrooms solely on the basis of their gender identity?\u201d she continued. \u201cWhat if we called a lawyer when we discovered our children were learning that the \u2018mommies on the bus\u2019 said \u2018shush, shush, shush&#8217;\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Cohen\u2019s colleague Greg Sargent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/04\/18\/desantis-dont-say-gay-anti-groomer-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote Monda<\/a>y that \u201cthe law\u2019s vagueness might end up handing opponents a hidden weapon against it.\u201d That weapon, he said, is that the law allows parents to bring lawsuits \u201cagainst references to heterosexuality or cisgenderism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gay and transgender activist groups are already taking legal action against the law, claiming it\u2019s discriminatory and in violation of the First Amendment. I have no idea how that will turn out, but I do know that Cohen and Sargent are either mentally slow or willfully ignorant.<\/p>\n<p>The law in no way bans references by school personnel or students to gender, sex, or even sexual orientation. The children are, in fact, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/01\/floridas-new-law-is-only-bad-for-people-who-believe-parents-have-no-rights-over-their-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not regulated at all<\/a>. What the law says \u2014 at least the part that has frustrated so many leftists \u2014 is that classroom \u201cinstruction\u201d in grades kindergarten through three should exclude \u201csexual orientation or gender identity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A person would have to either be dumb or pretend to be dumb in order to not know what that means. And, contrary to what the left insists, biological differences between males and females exist, regardless of how anyone <em>feels<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Instructing children to use the restroom corresponding with their biology isn\u2019t a matter of orientation or identity. It\u2019s a matter of science.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, acknowledging that women have babies or that mothers and fathers exist isn\u2019t some type of weird theory. It\u2019s reality.<\/p>\n<p>True, some children are raised by two men or two women. A male teacher might be married to another man. Recognizing those truths is not under duress.<\/p>\n<p>So, while a lawsuit brought against a teacher who says the word \u201cmother\u201d is possible \u2014\u00a0anyone can be sued for anything \u2014\u00a0the left should be prepared for a sane judge to laugh them out of court for bothering.<\/p>\n<p>I get it. A lot of Floridian teachers are mad that they can no longer giddily talk with seven-year-olds about what it means to be \u201ctrans fem\u201d or instill in children that \u201cboy parts\u201d and \u201cgirl parts\u201d are irrelevant. (There\u2019s a word for people who fancy chatting with kids about such things\u2026 I\u2019ll think of it later.)
