Mark Kelly has become one of the most recent members of Biden\u2019s party to speak out against the decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, we have a crisis on our southern border. Right now, this administration does not have a plan. I warned them about this months ago,\u201d Kelly said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/now\/ten-dems-flip-biden-join-144240259.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s going to be, to be honest, it\u2019s going to be a crisis on top of a crisis,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly also visited the border recently, taking to Twitter to address his concerns about ending Title 42.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard directly from Border Patrol leadership about operational challenges and discussed with them my concerns about the administration\u2019s intent to lift Title 42 without a comprehensive plan in place. Kyrsten Sinema has also spoken against ending the border policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArizona communities bear the brunt of the federal government\u2019s failure at our border, so we\u2019re stepping in and protecting border communities by ensuring the Administration works hand-in-hand with local leaders, law enforcement, and non-profits to put a comprehensive, workable plan in place before lifting Title 42,\u201d Sinema said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sinema.senate.gov\/sinema-kelly-bipartisan-group-senators-introduce-bill-delaying-end-title-42-ensuring-coordination\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Michigan Democratic Sen. Gary Peters has spoken out against ending the measure, arguing that there must be another plan in place before ending Title 42.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnless we have a well-thought-out plan, I think it is something that should be revisited and perhaps delayed,\u201d Peters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/restoring-america\/patriotism-unity\/ten-democrats-joining-republicans-in-opposing-bidens-plan-to-end-title-42\/?oRef=thehill\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> the Washington Examiner on Tuesday. \u201cI\u2019m going to defer judgment on that until I give the administration opportunity to fully articulate what that plan is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/us\/title-42-border-democrats-covid-19\/2022\/04\/19\/id\/1066335\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">seven other Democrats<\/a> have openly spoken against ending Title 42. They include Delaware Sen. Chris Coons, New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan, Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, Montana Sen. Jon Tester, and Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar.<\/p>\n<p>In March,\u00a0the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that it would be scrapping the Title 42 policy on May 23 after determining that the rule is \u201cno longer necessary.\u201d The CDC\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/media\/releases\/2022\/s0401-title-42.html\">said<\/a>\u00a0in part:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>After considering current public health conditions and an increased availability of tools to fight COVID-19 (such as highly effective vaccines and therapeutics), the CDC Director has determined that an Order suspending the right to introduce migrants into the United States is no longer necessary.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>With CDC\u2019s assistance and guidance, DHS has and will implement additional COVID-19 mitigation procedures.
