It just came out this afternoon,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cAnd if there [are] any updates while I\u2019m out here, I\u2019m sure we can provide them to all of you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McEnany, who served as White House press secretary under former President Donald Trump, blasted Psaki for withholding about the reality of the ruling, instead giving a \u201csnarky\u201d response.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re the press secretary and you know how government works,\u201d\u00a0McEnany <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/mask-mandate-travel-ruling-mcenany-psaki-biden\">said<\/a> on Fox News\u2019s \u201cOutnumbered.\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s a snarky answer. The answer is we respect the opinion of the federal judiciary, but that\u2019s not what she said.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McEnany added that she hopes \u201cJen Psaki fights very hard against this ruling. I hope President Biden does, and I hope they show the true autocrats they are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the same press briefing, Psaki became <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/psaki-snaps-im-not-a-doctor-when-pressed-on-white-house-masking-policy\">frustrated<\/a> with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy for questioning the effectiveness of the transportation mask mandate in the first place, noting that most people in the press briefing room, including Psaki, were not currently wearing masks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou said about this mask ruling out of a federal court in Florida that it\u2019s a \u2018disappointing decision,\u2019 and you say you continue to recommend that people wear masks. Why is it that we can sit here in the White House briefing room with no masks, but people can\u2019t sit in an airplane cabin with no masks?\u201d Doocy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/psaki-snaps-im-not-a-doctor-when-pressed-on-white-house-masking-policy\">pressed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, Peter, I\u2019m not a doctor,\u201d Psaki <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/press-briefings\/2022\/04\/18\/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-jen-psaki-april-18-2022\/\">snapped<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re not a doctor \u2014 that I\u2019m aware of.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a doctor, I wasn\u2019t aware of that today \u2014 until today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan confirm,\u201d Doocy replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOkay, not a doctor. Just making sure,\u201d the press secretary said. \u201cI don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration released a statement Monday saying\u00a0officials will be considering \u201cpotential next steps\u201d about the voided transportation mask mandate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe agencies are reviewing the decision and assessing potential next steps,\u201d an administration official <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PhilipWegmann\/status\/1516174890839298053\">said<\/a>, The Daily Wire reported. \u201cIn the meantime, today\u2019s court decision means CDC\u2019s public transportation masking order is not in effect at this time. Therefore, TSA will not enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs at this time.
