The claim stems from a satirical website.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The screen grab shows what appears to be an April 18 news article with a headline that reads, \u201cFauci Military Tribunal: Day 1.\u201d The article goes on to describe the alleged trial, which it claims took place at Guantanamo Bay. Notably, the article does not provide a source for its claims.<\/p>\n<p>The article is baseless. No mention of a military tribunal against Fauci appears on the Department of Defense\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/search.usa.gov\/search?affiliate=defensegov&#038;sort_by=&#038;query=Fauci+trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>, the Department of Justice\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/search.justice.gov\/search?query=Fauci+arrested&#038;op=Search&#038;affiliate=justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>\u00a0or in press releases from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.niaid.nih.gov\/news-events\/news-releases?search=%22Anthony%20Fauci%22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NIAID<\/a>. The medical advisor also spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/04\/15\/health\/covid-19-herd-immunity\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a> April 15 to discuss the issue of \u201cherd immunity\u201d against the virus. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/04\/14\/fact-check-anthony-fauci-arrest-niaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Was Anthony Fauci Arrested In April 2022?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The screen grab shared on Facebook stems from an April 18 <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2022\/04\/fauci-military-tribunal-day-1\/\">article<\/a> published by the website Real Raw News that claims Fauci is facing charges including mass medical malpractice, treason, seditious conspiracy and murder.
