The press secretary said the administration is still advising all Americans to abide by the CDC guidance of wearing masks on airplanes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CDC continues to advise and recommends masks on airplanes,\u201d Psaki told reporters aboard Air Forces One. \u201cWe\u2019re abiding by the CDC recommendations, the president is, and we would advise all Americans to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An administration official <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/18\/joe-biden-administration-public-transportation-masking-order-not-in-effect\/\">noted<\/a> on Monday evening that \u201cTSA will not enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs\u201d because of the court ruling.<\/p>\n<p>The official, while noting the order is no longer in effect, also pointed to the CDC\u2019s recommendations of continuing to mask up \u201cin indoor public transportation settings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Psaki also told reporters on Tuesday that an appeal is still on the table. She said there\u2019s been no decision from the Department of Justice yet, but added that \u201cagencies are reviewing next steps.\u201d This process, Psaki said, could \u201ctake a couple of days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden, when asked about appealing the ruling, told reporters that he hasn\u2019t \u201cspoken to the CDC yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration\u2019s public transportation masking order was one of the last restrictions remaining from the COVID-19 global pandemic. The directive recently sparked <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/24\/airline-ceo-jetblue-delta-american-southwest-letter-joe-biden-mask-mandate\/\">backlash<\/a> from several major <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/16\/two-airline-ceos-challenge-mask-mandates-planes\/\">airlines<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/16\/joe-biden-airline-mask-mandate-hepa-filters-congress\/\">(RELATED:\u00a0The Biden Administration Is Ignoring The Science On Airplane Masking)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The White House continues to require masks during trips with the president \u2013 despite Monday\u2019s court ruling.
