I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u2018Well, Peter, I\u2019m not a doctor, you\u2019re not a doctor \u2026 This is based on health considerations and data that the CDC looks at\u2019 \u2014 Press secretary Jen Psaki replied to Fox News\u2019 reporter Peter Doocy\u2019s questions regarding the court ruling on mask mandates for public transportation <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qXT5SLt6kK\">pic.twitter.com\/qXT5SLt6kK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NowThis (@nowthisnews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nowthisnews\/status\/1516223303203053571?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 19, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cBut these determinations \u2014 remember the masking guidance is \u2014 there are \u2014 is green, yellow, and red,\u201d she continued. \u201cWe are currently in a green zone in Washington, D.C., so they\u2019re not recommending it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSome people can still wear a mask if they want to \u2014 many people do \u2014 or wear them in meetings or wear them at certain times where you\u2019re going to be around or sitting close to people, or maybe you have an immunocompromised parent or \u2014 or friend,\u201d Psaki added. \u201cAnd so people make that decision. And there\u2019s \u2014 this is based on health considerations and data that the CDC looks at about transmissibility as \u2014 as we\u2019ve seen an increase in cases on \u2014 on airplanes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWould the president support if a flight is leaving from an airport in a green zone, those people don\u2019t have to wear masks?\u201d Doocy pressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAgain, Peter, there\u2019s a \u2014 there\u2019s been long a difference from the beginning about people on an airplane and in federal transportation vehicles and situations than where they are in locations, like we here \u2014 here continue to be, in Washington, D.C., a green zone,\u201d Psaki responded. \u201cBut what we had asked for \u2014 I think it\u2019s important to remember \u2014 is a two-week extension \u2014 or not asked for \u2014 what we had announced was a two-week extension to look at the data and make recommendations based on the data and the science about whether it should be continued or not.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Indeed, the Biden administration released a statement <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-administration-responds-to-florida-federal-judge-voiding-national-mask-mandate-on-airplanes\"><span>revealing<\/span><\/a><span> that officials will be considering \u201cpotential next steps,\u201d while admitting that the CDC\u2019s masking order is no longer in effect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe agencies are reviewing the decision and assessing potential next steps,\u201d an administration official <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PhilipWegmann\/status\/1516174890839298053\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cIn the meantime, today\u2019s court decision means CDC\u2019s public transportation masking order is not in effect at this time. Therefore, TSA will not enforce its Security Directives and Emergency Amendment requiring mask use on public transportation and transportation hubs at this time.
