Lots of cheering from passengers on board,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EricaReportsAll\/status\/1516204483402948611\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stapleton wrote<\/a> Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Dietderich, press secretary for Sen. So not really in the mood to get into more,\u201d Hechinger added.<\/p>\n<p>He told Insider in an email that he found the decision \u201ceven more outrageous that it\u2019s happening at a time when a new variant is raging and so many \u2014 including friends and colleagues, and their young children \u2014 are extremely sick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hechinger added: \u201cI don\u2019t feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walt Ecton, an assistant professor of education policy, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WaltEcton\/status\/1516216259695706112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">described<\/a> his \u201cvery bizarre moment: On airplane, pilot comes on over intercom, announces the federal mask mandate is over, \u2018so take your masks off and celebrate!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He wrote that \u201chalf the plane cheers\/high fives. Other half stews, keeping masks on.
