Instead, he slipped right past Tyler Reddick and Chase Briscoe \u2014 who were sort of left spinning \u2014 and to his first NASCAR Cup Series win of year on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>What made Busch\u2019s win so cool was he was running third, behind Reddick and Briscoe, for much of the race. Reddick actually led 99 of the 250 laps and seemed to be in control of things from the final restart. But Briscoe started to close in, and decided to try to slip past Redick on the inside. But that move failed, and both cars spun out of control.<\/p>\n<p>Busch then just scooted past both of them for the victory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got one, you know?\u201d Busch told reporters. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter how you get them, it\u2019s all about getting them.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A CRAZY FINISH ON THE BRISTOL DIRT!<\/p>\n<p>KYLE BUSCH WINS! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yAMFlrW3fE\">pic.twitter.com\/yAMFlrW3fE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NASCAR (@NASCAR) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NASCAR\/status\/1515888512473579528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This marked Buch\u2019s ninth win in Cup at Bristol, and he was actually booed by the few fans who were valiant enough to stick around after two rain delays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is awesome,\u201d he said. \u201cI didn\u2019t do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the first race on Easter Sunday since 1989 had its moments, but it was hardly a thing of beauty.<\/p>\n<p>As the AP wrote: \u201cThe race was NASCAR\u2019s second attempt at running a Cup race on dirt and it turned into a wet and muddy mystery when rain paused the racing and most of the drivers seemed clueless about the rules.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But it doesn\u2019t matter how you get them.
