All right? It\u2019s time to take action here,'&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.abc10.com\/article\/news\/nation-world\/ukraine\/foreign-volunteers-ukraine-war\/507-3d3226ca-fa99-4df7-9eef-0938573e98f6\">Thousands of foreign volunteers<\/a> from countries around the world have signed up to join Ukraine in its fight against Russia, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/defense-national-security\/russia-threatens-to-execute-western-volunteers-as-ukrainian-foreign-legion-grows\">spurring the Kremlin to issue a dire threat<\/a> against <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/dozens-from-japan-volunteer-to-fight-in-ukraine-foreign-legion\">members<\/a> of the international legion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;None of the mercenaries the West is sending to Ukraine to fight for the nationalist regime in Kyiv can be considered as combatants in accordance with international humanitarian law or enjoy the status of prisoners of war,&#8221; <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/tass.com\/politics\/1416131\">said<\/a> Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov last month, per Russian state media.<\/p>\n<p>Nance dismissed the notion that Russian forces might go out of their way to target him because he is black and from the United States.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The war being waged here is being waged against everybody,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Nance &#8220;is a globally recognized counterterrorism expert and Intelligence Community member who has been deployed to intelligence operations in the Balkans, Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa. He is the author of <i>The Plot to Hack America<\/i>, <i>Hacking ISIS<\/i>, and <i>New York Times<\/i> bestseller <i>Defeating ISIS<\/i>. He appears regularly on MSNBC. Nance lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,&#8221; according to <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.simonandschuster.com\/authors\/Malcolm-Nance\/154152647\">his author page<\/a> on the Simon &#038; Schuster website.<\/p>\n<p>The <i>Washington Examiner<\/i> reached out to MSNBC for comment. A representative for MSNBC <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maxwelltani\/status\/1516229810783145988\">told <\/a><i><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maxwelltani\/status\/1516229810783145988\">Politico<\/a><\/i> that Nance is no longer with the cable news network. Nance had MSNBC listed on his Twitter bio until updating it after the interview Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Nance was videotaped doing an interview counting off cruise missiles in Lviv, during which he was referred to as an MSNBC terrorist analyst. The attack in the western city Monday killed at least seven people, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/world\/russian-strikes-lviv-western-ukraine-attack-donbas-east-rcna24767\">according to Ukrainian officials<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During his interview with Reid, Nance called on the U.S. to up the ante in terms of military aid to counter Russia&#8217;s long-range artillery, which is described as Moscow&#8217;s one major advantage, and to protect civilians.
