By focusing on Biden\u2019s failures at home, White House officials reportedly feel his poll numbers may increase heading into the November midterms. Democrats currently trail Republicans in nearly every important midterm poll, including on voter enthusiasm, key issues, and the generic ballot.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cVoters, as sympathetic as they are to Ukraine, are getting a little fatigued,\u201d Democrat pollster Celinda Lake told the publication. \u201cAnd they\u2019re wondering: We\u2019re spending all this money abroad, but what are we spending here at home?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House is undoubtedly aware of its 40-year-high inflation and fears the midterm elections may be a referendum on Biden\u2019s poor management of the economy. As a result, \u201ca concerted effort is being launched to reemphasize to Americans that the president understands their pain and is trying to help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To express his sympathy, Biden plans to spend taxpayers\u2019 money traveling throughout the nation on Air Force One. On Tuesday, he will visit Portsmouth, New Hampshire, to speak about pumping more money into the economy during record-high inflation. On Friday, Biden will fly to Seattle to speak about how Americans\u2019 economic well-being will improve by purchasing an expensive electric vehicle to fight global warming.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Biden\u2019s transition from foreign affairs to domestic crises comes after he contradicted his administration on the effectiveness and purpose of imposing sections on Russia.\u00a0Biden\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TommyPigott\/status\/1496924267107213317?s=20&#038;t=RWor0vGc_85NPuxHd3L8qw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told<\/a>\u00a0reporters in February that \u201cno one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening,\u201d referencing Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>But both Vice President Kamala Harris and national security adviser Jake Sullivan had previously\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/24\/joe-biden-claims-no-one-thought-sanctions-would-stop-putin-days-after-kamala-harris-said-just-that\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>\u00a0that sanctions were implemented to deter Russia\u2019s aggression.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President believes that sanctions are intended to deter,\u201d Sullivan said.<\/p>\n<p>With the White House\u2019s foreign policy in tatters, polling suggests that 62\u00a0percent of voters say Russia would not have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/25\/poll-62-percent-of-voters-say-putin-would-not-invade-ukraine-if-trump-were-president\/\">invaded<\/a> Ukraine if Donald Trump were president. Sixty-nine percent of voters\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/16\/poll-69-percent-of-voters-say-nation-on-wrong-track-under-joe-biden\/\">believe<\/a>\u00a0the nation is on the wrong track under Biden. Just\u00a033 percent of Americans\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/13\/poll-just-33-percent-approve-bidens-job-performance-matching-record-low\/\">approve<\/a>\u00a0of Biden\u2019s job performance. Fewer than 25 percent of voters strongly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/08\/poll-less-than-25-percent-strongly-believe-joe-biden-mentally-fit-healthy-stable\/\">believe<\/a>\u00a0Biden is mentally fit, healthy, and stable. Only 36 percent of Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/poll-only-36-percent-democrats-want-biden-2024-ticket-after-10-months-office\/\">want<\/a> Biden on the 2024 ticket.<\/p>\n<p>The polling reflects Biden\u2019s challenges at home.<\/p>\n<p>Inflation has\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/12\/bidenflation-new-pandemic-biden-ripped-massive-inflation-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reached<\/a>\u00a040-year highs and is reportedly\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/31\/joe-bidens-inflation-cost-americans-extra-5200-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">costing<\/a>\u00a0Americans an extra $433 per month. The\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/research\/worst-january-at-the-border-in-dhs-history-rsr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">invasion<\/a>\u00a0of the southern border remains ongoing. Fentanyl overdoses have\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/research\/worst-january-at-the-border-in-dhs-history-rsr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">increased<\/a>. Gas prices have\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/25\/california-gas-prices-reach-all-time-record-high\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">soared<\/a>\u00a0to record highs.
