We are currently in a green zone in Washington, D.C., so they\u2019re not recommending it. Some people can still wear a mask if they want to, people do, or wear them in meetings or wear them at certain times when you\u2019re going to be around or sitting close to people or maybe you have an immunocompromised parent or friend so you can make that decision,\u201d Psaki continued.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is based on health considerations and data that the CDC looks at about transmissibility as we\u2019ve seen with increasing cases on airplanes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Doocy then questioned whether President Joe Biden would support passengers departing from a green zone to wear a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/22\/mask-mandates-sean-patrick-maloney-elissa-slotkin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mask<\/a> nonetheless. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/11\/philadelphia-mask-mandate-covid-19-coronavirus-omicron-ba2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Philadelphia Becomes First Major City To bring Back Mask Mandates)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Psaki again pointed to the tiered level of responses set out by the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/15\/senate-votes-repeal-cdc-mask-mandate-public-transportation-rand-paul-resolution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CDC<\/a> and said the administration would have hoped for a two-week extension of the policy to look at data on case counts.<\/p>\n<p>District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle of Florida\u2019s middle district <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/18\/public-transportation-mask-mandate-covid-coronavirus-overturned-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ruled Monday<\/a> that the CDC\u2019s mask mandate exceeds its statutory authority under the Administrative Procedure Act.
