Gary Peters said President Joe Biden should delay Title 42\u2019s expiration date if he doesn\u2019t have a plan when it ends, according to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>Peters, who is the chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and the Senate Homeland Security Committee told reporters Monday that if the Biden administration doesn\u2019t have a solid plan for Title 42\u2019s end, they should delay its end, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/minutes\/congress\/04-18-2022\/Peters-title-42-concerns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Politico. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/14\/kyrsten-sinema-title-42-mask-mandate-transportation-cdc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Kyrsten Sinema Points Out Biden Hypocrisy On Title 42, COVID)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The public health policy, which allows <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/04\/title-42-migrants-border-arizona-missouri-louisiana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">border<\/a> authorities to quickly <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/31\/joe-manchin-title-42-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">expel<\/a> certain migrants crossing the border amid the COVID-19, will <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/01\/cdc-title-42-end-may-23-border-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">expire<\/a> May 23.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnless we have a well-thought-out plan, I think it is something that should be revisited and perhaps delayed. I\u2019m going to defer judgment on that until I give the administration opportunity to fully articulate what that plan is. I share the concerns of some of my colleagues,\u201d Peters said, according to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>Several Democratic lawmakers <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/07\/vulnerable-senate-democrat-opposes-ending-title-42\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">facing<\/a> reelection battles have also come out against ending the Trump-era policy so soon and some have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/07\/mark-kelly-kyrsten-sinema-joe-biden-title-42\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">introduced<\/a> legislation alongside their Republican colleagues to block the decision.
