The price offered to purchase the shares is fixed and usually comes at a premium rate compared to the current market value of the stock.<\/p>\n<p>Musk also revealed what would happen to Twitter\u2019s board if he takes over the company which comes as reports have surfaced in recent days that Musk may seek to partner with other investors to buy the company due to the company\u2019s adoption of a \u201cpoison pill,\u201d which could make buying the company significantly more expensive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me point out something obvious: If @elonmusk takes $TWTR private, the TWTR board members don\u2019t have jobs any more, which pays them $250K-$300K per year for what is a nice part-time job,\u201d Gary Black, Managing Partner, The Future Fund LLC, wrote on Twitter. \u201cThat could explain a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Musk responded, \u201cBoard salary will be $0 if my bid succeeds, so that\u2019s ~$3M\/year saved right there.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Board salary will be $0 if my bid succeeds, so that\u2019s ~$3M\/year saved right there<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1516056299376623626?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 18, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Former Twitter CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/former-twitter-ceo-jack-dorsey-lashes-out-at-twitters-board-as-elon-musk-tries-to-buy-company\">slammed<\/a> the Twitter board in a tweet over the weekend over the apparent negative impact that it has had on the company.<\/p>\n<p>Dorsey was responding to the following tweet when he made his remark, \u201cIf look into the history of Twitter board, it\u2019s intriguing as I was a witness on its early beginnings, mired in plots and coups, and particularly amongst Twitter\u2019s founding members.
