We need more CNN.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelly\u2019s comments echoed the thoughts of Sirius XM host and veteran shock-jock Howard Stern, who <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/who-the-hell-is-going-to-pay-for-cnn-howard-stern-mocks-chris-wallaces-career-change\/\">asked prior to the launch<\/a> of CNN\u2019s new streaming service CNN+ why anyone would pay for more content from a network that nobody wanted to watch for free.<\/p>\n<p>Sexton responded with a joke aimed at reports of low subscriber numbers, adding, \u201cI do love all of the jokes about how while Elon\u00a0is offering to buy Twitter for tens of billions, there are lots of people out there right now who are willing to buy CNN+ for tens of dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The discussion turned to Chris Wallace, who <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/i-want-to-try-something-new-chris-wallace-is-leaving-fox-news-sunday-effective-immediately\/\">jumped to CNN+<\/a> after 18 years of hosting \u201cFox News Sunday,\u201d and both Sexton and Kelly appeared to agree that Wallace had been lucky to keep his position despite lackluster numbers. They also questioned whether he believed simply opposing former President Donald Trump would help him <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/chris-wallace-announces-he-is-joining-cnn-social-media-erupts-good-riddance-to-this-fraud\/\">win over the viewers at CNN+<\/a>, and argued that it wouldn\u2019t. Kelly said that they likely saw Wallace as a useful \u201cfoil\u201d when it came to Trump, but that would not translate to a massive audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was in last place every week, every year, every month. He was always in last, and they still paid him,\u201d Kelly said before pivoting to reveal her own dealings with CNN as she made the decision to leave Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>Noting that her main goal had been to free up more time to spend with her kids, Kelly said that she had considered going to CNN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI considered going to CNN. CNN made me a huge offer. Huge,\u201d she said. \u201cI said no, Buck, because I knew: who is my fanbase going to be over there?
