Ilhan Omar&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0husband, Tim Mynett, appears to be back in business after ostensibly halting its political operations at the federal level following controversy stemming from Omar&#8217;s campaign shelling out millions to the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/midwest\/minnesota\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Minnesota<\/a>\u00a0progressive&#8217;s campaign dished out nearly\u00a0$3 million\u00a0to Mynett&#8217;s firm, E Street Group, before criticism had forced her to terminate the contract in November 2020. Mynett and his business partner then appeared to veer away from their political operation to\u00a0consult\u00a0wine and beverage companies.<\/p>\n<p>Mynett&#8217;s firm, however, appears to have reopened the doors to its political business after recently taking in cash from an Omar-linked committee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/progressives-give-biden-list-executive-order-demands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PROGRESSIVES GIVE BIDEN LIST OF EXECUTIVE ORDER DEMANDS INCLUDING COMBATING CLIMATE &#8216;CRISIS,&#8217; RACIAL JUSTICE<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/640\/320\/Omar-Pelosi.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Rep. Ilhan Omar and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attend a bill-enrollment ceremony for the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act in the Capitol on June 17, 2021.<br \/>\n      <span class=\"copyright\">(Tom Williams\/CQ Roll Call Inc. via Getty Images)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The E Street Group received a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/fecimg\/?202203089493745624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">$15,000<\/a>\u00a0research consulting payment from the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party&#8217;s federal committee on Feb. 25, records show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mynett&#8217;s firm hauled in the money just two days after Omar&#8217;s campaign transferred <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/cgi-bin\/fecimg\/?202203089493745614\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">$15,000<\/a>\u00a0into the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party&#8217;s coffers. Omar&#8217;s campaign\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=processed&#038;committee_id=C00025254&#038;contributor_name=C00680934&#038;two_year_transaction_period=2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">sent<\/a>\u00a0$22,000 to the committee this cycle before the payment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;E Street Group is a well-known and widely respected political consulting and advertising firm that has worked with political parties and candidates throughout the country and here in Minnesota,&#8221; Ken Martin, chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, told Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>Martin said that anyone who consults with their federal and state campaign finance reports can see they have worked with the E Street Group on projects that include &#8220;fundraising, independent and\u00a0multi-candidate expenditures at the state and federal level, voter turnout operations, and much more.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/liberal-journalists-lash-ilhan-omar-critical-tweets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LIBERAL JOURNALISTS LASH OUT AT ILHAN OMAR AFTER TELLING REPORTERS TO &#8216;DO BETTER&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As Mynett&#8217;s firm halted payments at the federal level, it quietly <a href=\"https:\/\/cfb.mn.gov\/reports-and-data\/viewers\/campaign-finance\/party-unit\/20003\/2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">received<\/a> $31,000 from the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party&#8217;s state committee in less than a month late last year, its state filings show.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, which has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ilhanomar.com\/news\/rep-ilhan-omar-earns-democratic-farmer-labor-party-endorsement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">endorsed<\/a>\u00a0Omar, last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/disbursements\/?data_type=processed&#038;committee_id=C00025254&#038;recipient_name=e+street&#038;recipient_name=estreet&#038;two_year_transaction_period=2020&#038;two_year_transaction_period=2022&#038;min_date=01%2F01%2F2018&#038;max_date=12%2F31%2F2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shoveled<\/a> federal cash into Mynett&#8217;s firm in September 2020.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/640\/320\/Squad.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Reps. Omar&#8217;s campaign\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fec.gov\/data\/receipts\/?data_type=processed&#038;committee_id=C00025254&#038;contributor_name=C00680934&#038;two_year_transaction_period=2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pushed<\/a>\u00a0$430,000 to the committee throughout the cycle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The E Street Group did not respond to a request for comment on the newest federal payment and the group&#8217;s current operations.<\/p>\n<p>Mynett&#8217;s previous run at the federal level netted the firm millions of dollars, primarily from Omar&#8217;s campaign.\u00a0The campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/consulting-firm-ilhan-omar-husband-payments-campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doled<\/a>\u00a0out nearly $3 million to the E Street Group to cover advertisements, consulting, travel expenses and production costs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/consulting-firm-ilhan-omar-husband-payments-campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ILHAN OMAR&#8217;S CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTED NEARLY 80% OF POLITICAL PAYMENTS TO HUSBAND&#8217;S CONSULTING FIRM: FILINGS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After insisting that she would not cut off the agreement between her campaign and her husband&#8217;s firm, Omar emailed supporters in November 2020 to announce she was terminating the contract.<\/p>\n<p>Omar&#8217;s cash constituted almost 80 percent of the money her husband&#8217;s firm had received from federal political committees.\u00a0The last payment from a federal committee was sent to the group more than one year ago, filings show.<\/p>\n<p>Mynett and his business partner, Will Hailer, are still listed as governors of the E Street Group in its Washington, D.C. business records. Hailer\u00a0also submitted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/569761432\/E-Street-s-cali-registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">registration<\/a> for ESTREETCO LLC in California in late October 2020, according to filings in the Golden State.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/640\/320\/omar.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Rep. The duo offered companies advertising, public relations and web services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/apps-products?pid=AppArticleLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the D.C. business records, the trade name for that company, eStreet.co, was canceled in October 2021. The similarly named California limited liability company remains in good standing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>E Street&#8217;s beverage consulting\u00a0website\u00a0now displays a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/estreet.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">blank slate,<\/a>\u00a0while its political consulting website is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/estreetgroup.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">active<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
