Every year on Holocaust Remembrance Day, politicians put out statements that say, \u2018Never again, never again,&#8217;\u201d Tapper said after sharing video of some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/he-is-a-war-criminal-biden-says-putin-should-face-trial-after-bucha-killings\/\">atrocities<\/a> allegedly committed by Russian invaders in places like Bucha. \u201cThose statements must seem really hollow right now to you. When the world says never again, do they ever mean it?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t believe the world, after we\u2019ve seen what\u2019s going on in Ukraine. I don\u2019t believe to this feeling that we should believe, some countries or some leaders. We don\u2019t believe the words,\u201d Zelensky replied in English. \u201cAfter escalation of Russia, we don\u2019t believe our neighbors. We don\u2019t believe all of this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven I don\u2019t believe documents because we also had the Budapest Memorandum. I think you know all the details of this. For me, that is just a piece of paper, and costs nothing, and that\u2019s it,\u201d Zelensky said referencing the <a href=\"https:\/\/treaties.un.org\/Pages\/showDetails.aspx?objid=0800000280401fbb\">agreement<\/a> that bound Russia \u2014 in addition to the United Kingdom and the United States \u2014 to assist in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/ukraine-amb-references-budapest-memo-not-just-some-conflict-or-some-regional-problem\/\">defending Ukraine<\/a> on the condition that they <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/sean-penn-says-hes-thinking-about-taking-up-arms-against-russia-to-help-ukraine\/\">give up the nuclear arsenal<\/a> left behind after the fall of the Soviet Union.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we just believe pragmatic things. If you are our friends or partners, give us weapons, give us hands, support us, give us money and stop Russia, kick Russia,\u201d Zelensky added. \u201cYou can do it if you\u2019re a friend.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A translator assisted with the remainder of Zelensky\u2019s response, adding, \u201cThe only belief there is is belief in ourselves, in our people, belief in our armed forces and the belief that countries are going to support us, not just with their words, but with their actions, and that\u2019s it. Really, everybody is talking about this, and yet, as you can see, not everyone has got the guts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tapper had previously made a similar point on his show while speaking with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/jake-tapper-is-not-impressed-by-biden-admins-response-to-train-attack-how-is-this-not-a-genocide\/\">reported<\/a> by The Daily Wire:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cI\u2019m not advocating for any specific action one way or another.
