Similarly,\u00a0nine of the top ten states for jobs recovered are led by\u00a0Republican governors. All ten states have Republican-controlled legislatures,\u00a0as states across the country continue to get back to work after the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Looking further into the data, the RNC analysis confirmed that through March, 14 of the top\u00a020 states led by Republican governors are doing a better job than any of the states led by Democrat governors. And 16 of the top 20 recovering states have Republican-controlled legislatures; Republicans entirely control the top four states.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, 11 of the top 13 states \u2014 Utah, Idaho, Montana, Texas,\u00a0Florida, Georgia,\u00a0Tennessee,\u00a0Arizona,\u00a0Arkansas,\u00a0South Dakota, and\u00a0Indiana \u2014 are entirely led by Republicans and have more people working now than they had\u00a0before the coronavirus pandemic started and any restrictions were put in place, as shown in the chart below under \u201cPercent of Lost Jobs Recovered.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Since the pandemic started, Utah has recovered 154.8 percent of its jobs,\u00a0Idaho 148 percent, Montana 125 percent,\u00a0Texas 116.7 percent,\u00a0Florida 112.2 percent,\u00a0Georgia 112.1 percent,\u00a0Tennessee 112 percent,\u00a0Arizona 109.8 percent,\u00a0Arkansas 109.6\u00a0percent,\u00a0South Dakota 105.6\u00a0percent, and\u00a0Indiana 100.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis also showed that\u00a0all Republican-led states have recovered at least\u00a0two-thirds of the jobs lost\u00a0during the pandemic.\u00a0On average,\u00a0Republican-led states\u00a0have\u00a0recovered 98 percent of their lost jobs from the pandemic, compared to 86 percent for the\u00a0Democrat-led states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe contrast in leadership is clear,\u201d RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel stated of the\u00a0analysis. \u201cMonth after month, the data shows Republican-led states lead the country in lowest unemployment and job recovery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile Joe Biden and the Democrats cause 40-year high inflation, record gas prices, and economic hardship, Republican-led states are creating jobs, keeping schools open, and helping small businesses thrive,\u201d McDaniel added.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>CHART 1<\/strong> <em>(Data from the U.S. Department of Labor, colorized analysis by the Republican National Committee.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20677298\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"507\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>CHART 2\u00a0<\/strong><em>(Data from the U.S. Department of Labor, colorized analysis by the Republican National Committee.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20677310\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"448\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Furthermore,\u00a0according to the RNC analysis, the\u00a0four states with the lowest <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/web\/laus\/laumstrk.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">unemployment rates<\/a> are fully Republican-led. The\u00a0top five states with the lowest unemployment\u00a0are\u00a0led by Republican\u00a0 legislatures, as states across the country continue to get back to work after the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The four Republican-governed states with the\u00a0lowest unemployment rates from March are\u00a0Nebraska (2 percent),\u00a0Utah\u00a0(2 percent), Indiana (2.2 percent), and Montana\u00a0(2.3 percent).<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, out of the top 25 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 20 are\u00a0led by Republican governors. And out of those top 25 states with the lowest unemployment rates, 21 have Republican-controlled legislatures.\u00a0In fact, 12 of the 15 states with the lowest unemployment rates are fully Republican-led. Conversely,\u00a0seven of the ten states with the highest unemployment rates are fully Democrat-led.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats lead the two states with the highest unemployment percentages: Nevada (5 percent) and\u00a0New Mexico (5.3 percent).<\/p>\n<p>The analysis found that Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate of nearly one percentage point higher than the Republican-led states.\u00a0The 28 states with Republican governors average 3.2 percent, whereas Democrat-led states have an average unemployment rate of 4.1 percent. But both are down from prior months.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, according to the RNC analysis, two-thirds of the states with lower unemployment rates than when the\u00a0pandemic began are helmed by Republican governors, and 89 percent have Republican-controlled legislatures.\u00a0It also outlined that 17 states hit new record low unemployment rates, noting that 13 have\u00a0Republican governors, and 16 have Republican-controlled legislatures \u2014 which is up from the previous month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHART 3<\/strong>\u00a0<em>(Data from the U.S. Department of Labor, colorized analysis by the Republican National Committee.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20677322\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"573\" height=\"567\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>CHART 4\u00a0<\/strong><em>(Data from the U.S. Department of Labor, colorized analysis by the Republican National Committee.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20677328\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/chart-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"573\" height=\"501\" \/><\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Although this analysis represents March\u2019s state-by-state unemployment data from the\u00a0Department of Labor, the country is still going through constant problems since Joe Biden became president.<\/p>\n<p>Under Biden, the country has experienced higher gas prices and has seen the\u00a0highest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/04\/12\/bidenflation-american-families-face-steeply-higher-food-prices\/\">inflation rate<\/a> since December 1981, bad\u00a0<a class=\"c-link x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdata.bls.gov%2Ftimeseries%2FCES0000000001%3Foutput_view%3Dnet_1mth&#038;data=04%7C01%7CCStandaert%40gop.com%7C62ab941e30f14787dc0608d9d69f31d5%7C4a082c81950a410d9618462a9c74d6ae%7C1%7C0%7C637776801511782745%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&#038;sdata=jQTmDeqVKrfjZ4l6oUcQSjOrSgvVJaHT1jL61lPSKNs%3D&#038;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">jobs reports<\/a>, and an ongoing\u00a0<a class=\"c-link x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/research\/bidenflation-is-crushing-families-and-businesses-rsr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">supply chain crisis<\/a>. A budget model\u00a0from the\u00a0University of Pennsylvania\u2019s Wharton School\u00a0<a class=\"c-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/12\/16\/wharton-study-bidenflation-will-cost-families-3500-this-year-low-incomes-hardest-hit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">showed<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0inflation cost families an additional $3,500 in 2021, meaning they would have had to spend that much more just to keep up with their normal yearly expenses, based on 2019 and 2020 spending models.<\/p>\n<p>This past Tuesday,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/04\/12\/bidenflation-american-families-face-steeply-higher-food-prices\/\">data<\/a> from the Department of Labor showed the\u00a0consumer price index rose 8.5 percent in March compared to a year ago \u2014\u00a0the most significant year-over-year increase since December 1981.\u00a0It also showed that overall food prices rose 8.8 percent compared to a year ago, meaning everyday food items rose. Even the price of a kitchen table went up\u00a0an eye-popping 16.8 percent compared to a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>But the price of food was not the only problem for American families. Americans saw a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/04\/12\/bidenflation-energy-prices-soar-32-overall-in-the-last-12-months\/\">substantial<\/a> increase in\u00a0energy bills as\u00a0inflation soared. Overall energy prices rose\u00a032 percent\u00a0compared to a year ago, and\u00a0rose\u00a011.4 percent from\u00a0February to March of this year alone. And since last March, oil has gone up an astonishing\u00a070.1\u00a0percent, up\u00a022.3 percent just from February. Motor fuel is also up\u00a048.2 percent in the last 12 months, 19.8 percent from just February.<\/p>\n<p>Since the Democrats have taken power in Washington, between Congress and Biden they have taken aim at American energy. As most Democrats stood by, Biden\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/donald-trump-joe-biden-keystone-pipeline-canada-environment-and-nature-141eabd7cca6449dfbd2dab8165812f2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">canceled<\/a> the\u00a0Keystone XL Pipeline, <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/01\/27\/biden-suspends-oil-and-gas-drilling-in-series-of.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">suspended<\/a> oil and gas leasing, <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-12-10\/biden-halts-federal-aid-to-coal-oil-and-gas-projects-overseas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">halted<\/a>\u00a0federal support for oil and gas projects overseas, and\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/06\/01\/climate\/biden-drilling-arctic-national-wildlife-refuge.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">suspended<\/a>\u00a0oil drilling leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).<\/p>\n<p>In fact, Biden and the Democrats spent last year trying to ram partisan bills from the president\u2019s\u00a0legislative agenda through Congress \u2014 which they are still trying to do \u2014 while the country was recovering from the pandemic.\u00a0Democrats passed the\u00a0disastrous\u00a0$1.2 trillion, 2,702-page\u00a0so-called\u00a0bipartisan infrastructure bill \u2014 which Biden signed into law \u2014 and passed the\u00a0$1.75 trillion Build Back Better Act\u00a0(BBB) in the House.<\/p>\n<p>While all but one Democrat voted to pass the BBB, Democrats knew ahead of time how harmful the bill would be for\u00a0American energy. In fact,\u00a0six vulnerable members acknowledged how hurtful BBB was and even wrote\u00a0a letter to Democrat leadership saying it\u00a0targeted the oil, natural gas, and refining industries in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>They noted that the BBB, if passed, had the \u201cpotential to cost thousands of jobs, stifle economic recovery, increase energy costs for all Americans, strengthen our adversaries, and ultimately impede the transition to a lower-carbon future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
