Security was able to unchain her, and the woman was physically removed from the floor.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\ude33\ud83d\ude33\ud83d\ude33<\/p>\n<p>(via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/D_Schandy24?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@D_Schandy24<\/a>) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WBiv26NR8I\">pic.twitter.com\/WBiv26NR8I<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BleacherReport\/status\/1515441005184569352?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>According to Evan Barnes, Memphis football reporter for The Commercial Appeal, the protester was connected to a similar protest which occurred at the Target Center in Minneapolis last Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPer the Grizzlies: The protestor is being removed from the building after she was escorted off the floor,\u201d Barnes posted to Twitter. \u201cShe\u2019s connected to the previous protest at the Timberwolves play-in game and wore a \u2018Glen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive\u2019 shirt as she chained herself to the basket.\u201d According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nba\/2022\/04\/16\/protestor-chains-herself-basket-grizzlies-timberwolves-playoff-game\/7345911001\/\">USA Today<\/a>, the woman also threw flyers onto the court.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Per the Grizzlies: The protestor is being removed from the building after she was escorted off the floor. Anthony Edwards led the way for Minnesota, scoring 36 points on 12-23 shooting. Karl Anthony-Towns added 29 points and 13 rebounds for the Timberwolves. Memphis star point guard Ja Morant had 32 points, eight assists, and four rebounds to lead the Grizzlies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Tuesday night in Minnesota, a protester \u2014 also wearing a \u201cGlen Taylor Roasts Animals Alive\u201d t-shirt \u2014 reportedly attempted to glue herself to the floor of the Target Center during the NBA\u2019s play-in game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Timberwolves. Taylor is the owner of the Timberwolves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>With 3:34 to go in the second quarter, the Timberwolves were shooting free throws when play was stopped in order to remove a woman on the opposite end of the court.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A fan was escorted off after attempting to glue themselves to the floor during the Clippers-Timberwolves Play-in Game <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RreK0kjPSG\">pic.twitter.com\/RreK0kjPSG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BleacherReport\/status\/1514074205498740742?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 13, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cI was just told by security that she apparently had glue, and she glued herself to the floor,\u201d TNT sideline reporter Allie LaForce said on the broadcast. \u201cAnd she refused to lift her wrist up \u2026 She glued her wrist to the floor and they were trying to pull her off, and she was resisting, trying to keep her wrist glued down to the floor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sarah Spain of ESPN later shared the group reportedly behind the protest \u2014 \u201cDirect Action Everywhere\u201d \u2014 which was protesting the killing of chickens at an Iowa egg farm owned by Taylor.
