That represents a drop in value of approximately 99.8 percent based on the original purchase price.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Guardian<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2022\/apr\/14\/twitter-nft-jack-dorsey-sina-estavi\">reports<\/a> that an NFT of former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey\u2019s first tweet was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/03\/23\/twitter-ceo-jack-dorsey-sells-first-ever-tweet-as-nft-for-2-9-million\/\">sold<\/a> in March 2021 for $2.9 million, bought by crypto entrepreneur Sina Estavi. As of Thursday, the highest bid for the NFT was 2.2 ether \u2014 approximately $6,800. Estavi spoke to Reuters about the situation stating: \u201cMy offer to sell was high and not everyone could afford it\u2026\u00a0It\u2019s important to me who wants to buy it, I will not sell this NFT to anyone because I do not think everyone deserves this NFT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Estavi is still confident in the value of the NFT, however, stating: \u201cThis NFT is not just a tweet, this is the Mona Lisa of the digital world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Estavi was arrested last May during a trip to Iran and was freed in February.
