Demand is strong,\u201d explained Dan Eberhart, CEO of Denver-based drilling services company Canary to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/energy\/democrats-keep-working-against-oil-companies-not-with-us-big-oil-ceo\"><span>Fox Business<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cWe need more supply to bring the price down, and the administration just keeps putting roadblocks in our way to do that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Eberhart also rejected Democratic lawmakers\u2019 argument that oil companies are engaging in price-gouging.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s true at all,\u201d Eberhart said. \u201cWe\u2019re bidding for work against our competitors and other companies\u2026 We\u2019ve got all kinds of supply chain issues, and inflation in our supply chain as well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Eberhart listed several policies that the Biden administration could reverse in order to increase energy supply and cut costs. \u201cThe problem is not enough supply, and the administration keeps doing things around that,\u201d the executive said, \u201cnot working with the industry to increase supply.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe SEC compliance issue on climate disclosure is an additional regulatory burden; moratorium on drilling on federal lands is an additional burden,\u201d Eberhart continued, \u201ccanceling the pipelines Keystone, Dakota Access and there\u2019s six others, it\u2019s a regulatory burden.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI think the decisions are dumb,\u201d he added, \u201cand don\u2019t take my word for it. Ask voters in November. I think we\u2019re going to see the answer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Indeed, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-hits-lowest-approval-ratings-of-his-presidency-in-two-more-polls\"><span>The Daily Wire<\/span><\/a><span> reported earlier this week that President Joe Biden\u2019s approval rating continues to trend downward \u2014 reaching the lowest point of his 15-month tenure in the White House. Of particular concern for voters is the state of the economy, with 47% of respondents to a CNBC-All America survey saying the economy is in \u201cpoor\u201d condition, and another 35% saying it is in \u201conly fair\u201d condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As of Thursday evening, the average price of regular gas is $4.074, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/\"><span>AAA<\/span><\/a><span>. President Biden has drawn <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/this-is-not-putin-this-is-joe-biden-senator-ted-cruz-blasts-biden-admin-over-spiking-gas-prices\"><span>criticism<\/span><\/a><span> from conservatives over the high gas prices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOver the past 15 months, we\u2019ve seen inflation grow higher than any time in the last 40 years. Perhaps the most painful driver of inflation has been the skyrocketing cost of gasoline at the pump,\u201d Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) told the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWhen Joe Biden took the oath of office, the average retail price of gasoline was $2.38 a gallon. Today, it is $4.23 a gallon,\u201d he continued. \u201cIn some parts of the country, the price has crossed $6.90 a gallon. This was not an accident. It was not an unintended side effect. Nor was it principally the result of the war in Ukraine. This was the result of the Green New Deal zealots in the Biden administration. They told the American people they would do this. And they kept their promise.
