Ron DeSantis (R) said in a sharp statement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBiden\u2019s extension of the transportation mask mandate simply prolongs the misery that passengers and flight attendants are being forced to endure,\u201d the governor said in a statement following the news of federal officials extending the mask requirement for public transportation yet again.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThis is not evidence-based, but simply more COVID theater,\u201d he continued. \u201cThis is the Biden equivalent of continuing the beatings until morale improves. I\u2019m glad Florida and other states are fighting this mandate in court.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The sharp statement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/13\/biden-administration-extends-federal-transportation-mask-mandate-again\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">followed<\/a> news of the Biden administration extending the mask mandate, forcing individuals to continue to mask up while on planes, trains, buses, and other modes of public transportation. The mandate was set to expire April 18, but officials opted to extend it two more weeks, with no immediate end in sight, as they have continued to extend the deadlines throughout the entirety of Biden\u2019s presidency. This is despite the fact that Biden, prior to taking office, pitched \u201cjust\u201d 100 days of masking, deeming it everyone\u2019s \u201cpatriotic\u201d duty.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis has long spoken out and fought against the coercive coronavirus restrictions imposed by the Biden administration, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) vaccine mandate, which the Supreme Court struck down this year. Last month, DeSantis and Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody (R) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/29\/ron-desantis-announces-lawsuit-against-federal-mask-mandate-not-grounded-in-any-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> a lawsuit over the Biden administration\u2019s extended mask mandate on planes and at transportation hubs. Twenty other states joined the lawsuit as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis rule, this order is completely outside the bounds of the scope of federal power; as we have argued successfully in numerous other cases, the CDC and the federal government and the Biden administration never had the power to issue this order originally,\u201d Moody said at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis must be lifted,\u201d she said, adding that they \u201chave a lot of faith in the court that they will agree with our legal analysis.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The case is\u00a0<em>Florida v.
