The FBI has also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/29\/matt-gaetz-confronts-fbi-official-hunter-biden-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">denied<\/a> knowing about the whereabouts of Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop.<\/p>\n<p>The man responsible for allegedly opening fire in a New York City subway car Tuesday walked away from the scene of the crime and, after waiting for the authorities to do something, decided to turn himself in, reportedly sitting on a bench relaxing before the NYPD nabbed him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m Frank, I\u2019m the person you\u2019re looking for. I\u2019m surprised it took so long,\u201d Frank James, the alleged shooter, told police as they arrested him,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/13\/brooklyn-shooting-suspect-frank-james-in-police-custody\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the New York Post. James evaded arrest for over 24 hours despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/clarissajanlim\/frank-james-brooklyn-subway-shooting-suspect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hundreds<\/a> of NYPD officers working to find him. The NYPD also reportedly relied on a bystander spotting James on a security camera and authorities were looking at a different suspect first, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/brooklyn-subway-attack-being-investigated-terrorism-official-says-1697298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Newsweek.<\/p>\n<p>The shooting left 10 people with bullet holes and at least 13 more injured in the worst crime committed in NYC\u2019s subway system in decades. Police found three extended magazines, four smoke grenades, a hatchet and keys to a U-Haul he allegedly rented prior to the shooting, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox29.com\/news\/nyc-subway-shooting-philadelphia-man-identified-as-renter-of-u-haul-van-connected-to-shooting-police-say\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.fox29.com\/news\/nyc-subway-shooting-philadelphia-man-identified-as-renter-of-u-haul-van-connected-to-shooting-police-say&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1650050110136000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2H4ksZDpoyq4bt2LqKQUT-\">according<\/a> to Fox 29.<\/p>\n<p>James now faces terror-related charges, which could send him to prison for life. He was previously arrested three times in New Jersey, including two charges of making terroristic threats, and nine times in New York, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/04\/13\/nyregion\/frank-james-subway-shooting.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the New York Times.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Frank James, the wanted person of interest in the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Brooklyn?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Brooklyn<\/a> subway mass shooting, has a Twitter account where he posted support for black nationalist group Nation of Islam. Gretchen Whitmer, spending months working with informants and sending undercover agents to monitor meetings, chats and training exercises, eventually stopping the operation and arresting those involved, Buzzfeed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/kenbensinger\/a-stunning-surprise-in-the-michigan-kidnapping-case-calls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ labeled the men \u201cviolent extremists\u201d for the planned kidnapping and plan to use explosives in the operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFederal and state law enforcement are committed to working together to make sure violent extremists never succeed with their plans, particularly when they target our duly elected leaders,\u201d U.S. Attorney Andrew Byerly Birge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/six-arrested-federal-charge-conspiracy-kidnap-governor-michigan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>. The DOJ <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/michigan-governor-gretchen-whitmer-kidnapping-plot-militia\/10590858\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">elevated<\/a> the case to include terror-related charges months later for allegedly conspiring to use weapons of mass destruction.<\/p>\n<p>Defense attorneys claimed throughout the trials that the men could never have planned the operation themselves, and the FBI had entrapped them in the undercover operation, often offering the men money, Buzzfeed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/kenbensinger\/michigan-kidnapping-gretchen-whitmer-fbi-informant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The defense said the FBI \u201cconceived and controlled every aspect\u201d of the kidnapping operation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/two-defendants-found-not-guilty-in-whitmer-kidnapping-trial\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the Washington Examiner.<\/p>\n<p>In a blow to the FBI\u2019s case, two men were <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/08\/two-michigan-men-acquitted-plot-kidnap-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">acquitted<\/a> of all charges related to the kidnapping by the jury on Friday. The jury also was unable to reach a verdict on two more men that had already been charged, leading to a possible re-trial.<\/p>\n<p>In June of 2020, the FBI conducted an investigation into an alleged noose hung in NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace\u2019s garage at Talladega Superspeedway.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace called the alleged noose a \u201cdespicable act of racism\u201d and reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wymt.com\/2020\/06\/24\/no-hate-crime-fbi-says-rope-likely-used-to-pull-down-overhead-door\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cried<\/a> after a walk of solidarity prior to his race. NASCAR said it was \u201cangry and outraged.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FBI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndal\/pr\/joint-statement-us-attorney-jay-e-town-and-fbi-special-agent-charge-johnnie-sharp-jr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sent<\/a> 15 agents to do the investigation and \u201cconducted numerous interviews,\u201d before ultimately <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/racing\/nascar\/story\/_\/id\/29364817\/nascar-releases-image-noose-found-bubba-wallace-garage-says-concern-was-real\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">determining<\/a> the noose was a rope used to pull down the garage door since October of 2019 and no hate crime had been committed.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI has been dealt several blows by John Durham, the U.S. attorney hired to investigate the mistakes the FBI made with the alleged then-presidential candidate Donald Trump-Russia collusion during the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>Durham has indicted Brookings Institution researcher Igor Danchenko and Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann on counts of lying to the FBI. Danchenko was the primary source used to create the Steele Dossier, one of the documents used to get a warrant on Trump\u2019s campaign aide. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/04\/igor-danchenko-arrested-christopher-steele-john-durham-fbi-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: <span class=\"il\">DURHAM<\/span> ARRESTS STEELE\u2019S TOP SOURCE)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Trump-Russia collusion narrative played out for years before the Justice Department\u2019s independent inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz released a report saying there was zero evidence of the collusion. Instead, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/12\/09\/us\/politics\/horowitz-ig-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found<\/a> the FBI\u2019s investigation had been severely flawed by \u201cso many basic and fundamental errors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat so many basic and fundamental errors were made by three separate, handpicked teams on one of the most sensitive F.B.I. investigations that was briefed to the highest levels within the F.B.I., and that F.B.I. officials expected would eventually be subjected to close scrutiny, raised significant questions regarding the F.B.I. chain of command\u2019s management and supervision of the FISA process,\u201d the report said.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI and DOJ was called upon by the National School Board Association (NSBA) in a letter to investigate unruly parents speaking out at school board meetings against mask mandates and critical race theory. The NSBA <a href=\"https:\/\/defendinged.org\/press-releases\/full-nsba-letter-to-biden-administration-and-department-of-justice-memo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> the actions of the parents \u201ccould be equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism,\u201d and claimed, without evidence, \u201cextremist hate organizations\u201d were showing up at the school board meetings.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland responded to the NSBA\u2019s letter, saying he would direct the FBI to investigate the \u201crise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am directing the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working with each United States Attorney, to convene meetings with federal, state, local, Tribal, and territorial leaders in each federal judicial district within 30 days of the issuance of this memorandum,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Garland later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2021\/10\/21\/3-takeaways-from-ag-garlands-house-panel-testimony-on-virginia-school-rape-case-conflict-of-interest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">admitted<\/a>, amid backlash, that his evidence of threats was solely based on the letter from the NSBA and \u201cnewspapers reports of threats of violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Garland also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/05\/12\/us\/politics\/domestic-terror-white-supremacists.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">claimed<\/a> in 2021 the largest domestic threat facing the U.S. comes from \u201cracially or ethnically motivated violent extremists,\u201d \u201cspecifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) concealed black nationalist violence while emphasizing white supremacy in a March report about \u201cextremism and murder in the United States\u201d in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite supremacists killed more people in 2021 than any other type of extremist, though not an outright majority, as is often the case,\u201d the ADL <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/media\/17498\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">stated<\/a>. The report cited 13 white supremacist killings in 2021 and two by black nationalists.<\/p>\n<p>However, the report did not include black nationalist Darrell Brooks who allegedly struck more than 60 people and killed six at a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in November of 2021.
