Homosexuals have nothing to do with gender ideology or transgender advocacy \u2014 yet there is an effort by the Democrats to somehow make the case that \u201ctrans rights\u201d are the next iteration or extension of gay rights.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Everyday gays and lesbians \u2014 those who focus more on taxes, crime, and schools than gay pride parades \u2014 gain nothing as they are forced by Democrats into a painful and embarrassing political war that seeks to conquer more social status and political power for \u201cgender\u201d than they ever sought for their own same-sex relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Gay people have been grouped together into a broader community with those whose experience has nothing to do with them, and whose experience actually undermines the gay experience.<\/p>\n<p>The premise of transgender philosophy is that \u201csex\u201d is not a relevant reality \u2014 that \u201cgender\u201d is what is relevant, and that gender is fluid, changing, subjective, a feeling or form of expression more than it is a physical reality \u2014 but that chosen \u201cgender\u201d is an absolute truth, regardless of sex.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, this point runs counter to the gay experience, and actually aligns with a common misconception that is often used in anti-gay arguments, namely among advocates of conversion therapy.<\/p>\n<p>The homosexual experience hinges on gender being fixed and dependent on biological sex; compatibility is dictated first and foremost by the sex and corresponding, immutable gender, and that there be no distinction between the two.<\/p>\n<p>There being a clear and obvious answer to the question \u201cwhat is a woman?\u201d matters to a lesbian.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_16064846\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/same-sex-wedding-ceremony.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-16064846\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/same-sex-wedding-ceremony.jpg\" alt=\"SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA - DECEMBER 16: Same-sex couple Amy Laker and Lauren Price kiss during their wedding ceremony on December 16, 2017 in Sydney, Australia. If \u201cmale\u201d or \u201cfemale\u201d is just a social construct, then why wouldn\u2019t a partner be selected based on ability to start a biological family, which is the ultimate point of partnership and biological life itself?<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Progressives capture and convert the gay\/lesbian rainbow flag as a banner for their popular front of myriad niche identity groups. <br \/>IOW, aesthetic imperialism by the queer-theory colonels and their woke footsoldiers. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/59XhyAt3rV\">https:\/\/t.co\/59XhyAt3rV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Neil Munro (@NeilMunroDC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NeilMunroDC\/status\/1493796812553129984?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 16, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Those questions are ones that gay rights advocates have spent decades answering; refuting the assumption by straight critics that biological sex or gender doesn\u2019t need to be the be-all and end-all, that homosexuals should be able to make it work regardless of sex or gender, if they just adjust their attitude.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe denial of biological sex \u2026 erases homosexuality, as same-sex attraction is meaningless without the distinction between the sexes,\u201d wrote biologists Colin M. Wright and Emma N. Hilton in an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-dangerous-denial-of-sex-11581638089?mod=opinion_lead_pos5\">titled<\/a> \u201cThe Dangerous Denial of Sex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany activists now define homosexuality as attraction to the \u2018same gender identity\u2019 rather than the same sex. This view is at odds with the scientific understanding of human sexuality. \u2026 The successful normalization of homosexuality could be undermined by miring it in an untenable ideology,\u201d their op-ed adds.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Party has embraced the \u201calphabet\u201d ideology as a result of pressure from the political lobby \u2014 morphed from \u201cGay Inc.\u201d to a broader \u201cLGBT,\u201d \u201cLGBTQ,\u201d \u201cLGBTQQ\u201d \u2026 and finally \u201cLGBTQQIP2SAA\u201d \u2014 which began expanding to a larger \u201ccommunity\u201d in response to the original missions of the gay movement being accomplished.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>As homosexuality first became decriminalized, then achieved broader social tolerance and acceptance, raised awareness and got more resources devoted to AIDS research, then achieved equal partner benefits, then the legalization of adoption by gay couples, and eventually the federal legalization of gay marriage, the political machine needed new grievances to maintain massive fundraising off of. The political lobby couldn\u2019t just close up shop and go home once it achieved what it set out to, not while so much money was being raised.<\/p>\n<p>But as the political lobby metastasized it began diluting and eventually forgetting the people it originally formed to represent \u2014 gays and lesbians.<\/p>\n<p>That lost awareness is now most apparent in the push to inject gender ideology and sexuality education in school curricula for young children, in the name of the \u201cLGBTQQIP2SAA\u201d crusade, which takes the gay struggle back over 40 years.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1960s and 70s, even into the 80s, there was a common belief that homosexuals were child predators \u2014 a reaction to radical gay rights activism and bolstered by junk science.<\/p>\n<p>In response, there was a concerted push by moderate gay-rights authors and groups to temper the conversation on their side, as well as respond to the unfounded accusations that homosexuality was threatening to American family values or children.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, in 1995, gay author Andrew Sullivan published \u201cVirtually Normal,\u201d where he simultaneously critiqued elements of the gay-rights movement, the anti-gay rights movement, and also made a case for same-sex marriage and the abolition of \u201cdon\u2019t ask, don\u2019t tell\u201d \u2014 using what was called, at the time, a \u201cdefense of a moderate gay activist position\u201d that was palatable to the mainstream.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Politics of homosexuality\u2019s] goal \u2026 is simply to ensure that the liberal state live up to its promises for all its citizens. It would seek full public equality for those who, through no fault of their own, happen to be homosexual,\u201d Sullivan writes of the aim of his politics:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This politics affirms a simple and limited principle: that all public (as opposed to private) discrimination against homosexuals be ended and that every right and responsibility that heterosexuals enjoy as public citizens be extended to those who grow up and find themselves emotionally different. And that is all. No cures or re-educations, no wrenching private litigation, no political imposition of tolerance; merely a political attempt to enshrine formal public equality.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The work renewed and galvanized public conversation around homosexuality and its place in society, receiving mixed reviews at the time, but widespread reaction nonetheless. Sullivan\u2019s work would go on to bolster the next wave of conversation around gay rights, dispelling much of the hysteria around it and buttressing the central argument \u2014 there was no will to impose on others, sue, force, approach minors \u2013 that all this was just a crusade for equality.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to 2022, and homosexuals have been reeled back into defending themselves from the assumption that they represent an attack on the family and children, but not because of an issue that has anything to do with them.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLGBTQQIP2SAA\u201d lobby \u2013 of which gays and lesbians represent 2 out of 12 letters in the acronym \u2013 is, for instance, pushing for children to be introduced to radical gender ideology by teachers, which was never part of any set of goals having to do with homosexual equality.<\/p>\n<p>In response, sensible child-protection laws such as the Stop Woke Act in Florida, have been made out to be an attack on \u201cgays,\u201d with the most prominent Democratic Party opponents of the bill using \u201cgays\u201d as an attack line.<\/p>\n<p>Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2022\/04\/06\/hillary-clinton-people-should-go-around-saying-gay-all-the-time-to-puncture-the-cruelty\/\">said<\/a> last week on her podcast, <em>You and Me Both with Hillary Clinton,<\/em>\u00a0that the average American \u201cshould go around saying gay all the time,\u201d in protest of the Florida bill that protects children from completely inappropriate conversations about sex and \u201cgender identity\u201d with adults who aren\u2019t their parents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think people have to stand up to [the Stop Woke Act]. The idea \u2018don\u2019t say gay,\u2019 I think people should go around saying \u2018gay\u2019 all the time,\u201d Clinton said to her guest, comedian Kate McKinnon.<\/p>\n<p>McKinnon said, \u201cLet\u2019s say it now,\u201d then she and Clinton said, \u201cGay, gay, gay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Florida Senate Democrats also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FLSenateDems\/status\/1500865436614893571?s=20&#038;t=84IZh05_rS2X5bJFjVOvvQ\">released<\/a> a video last month in response to the law, showing Democratic lawmakers parading around chanting \u201cgay\u201d over and over, with one of them screaming, \u201cmy daughter\u2019s gay.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve got one thing to say to our GOP colleagues \u2014 GAY! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/AiXzW0chUq\">pic.twitter.com\/AiXzW0chUq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Florida Senate Democrats (@FLSenateDems) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FLSenateDems\/status\/1500865436614893571?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 7, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Aside from the approach by Democrats being patronizing, cringe, and humiliating, the crusade to expose young children to inappropriate sexual material departs so radically from any aim of the gay-advocacy movement that their inclusion of gays in it makes absolutely no sense. Amorphous 12-letter-acronym initiatives such as this have exactly nothing to do with gay and lesbians\u2019 interests, but yet drags gays back into a debate that ended 20 years ago because of their supposed membership in a meaningless \u201ccommunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And data is already showing how the damage to social acceptance of homosexuals as a result of their recent inclusion in aggressive \u201cLGBTQQIP2SAA\u201d political crusades is manifesting, especially among younger age groups.<\/p>\n<p>Data <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glaad.org\/blog\/glaad%E2%80%99s-2019-accelerating-acceptance-index-results-show-further-decline-lgbtq-acceptance-among\">compiled<\/a> by GLAAD and released in 2019 showed:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This year\u2019s Index found the number of young Americans ages 18-34 who are comfortable [with LGBTQ people] dropped from 53% to 45%, the second consecutive year that this age group has shown a drop \u2026 This reflects a continued erosion in comfort among this age group over the past two years. This year, the significant erosion is being driven by females ages 18-34, where comfort levels fell from 64% last year to 52% this year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>What is emerging is a neo-oppression of gays in public life \u2014 this time, not by traditional sources, but by the Democratic Party and its increasingly prominent radical elements.<\/p>\n<p>The homosexual community is again in a position where it has to seize the narrative back from people who do not fully understand the gay experience, who are seeking to undermine the gay experience, assign motives to the gay experience that don\u2019t exist, and preserve the hard and long-fought rights that so many worked so hard to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Party is using the gay community as tools in a greater political effort that is paining to convince them that those achievements weren\u2019t enough, weren\u2019t real or valid enough, and in doing so are depriving them of enjoying their most tremendous victory \u2014 namely the ability to live their life totally freely.<\/p>\n<p>And as they didn\u2019t settle for anything less in the past, they must not settle for anything less today.<\/p>\n<p><b data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><i data-stringify-type=\"italic\">Emma-Jo Morris is the Politics Editor at Breitbart News.
