There are some national holidays and other days when it won\u2019t be allowed.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The ministry said that, until now, there had been no rule formally allowing the flag, \u201cwhich in the past has frequently led to discussions.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe are a modern and diverse country,\u201d Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said in a statement. \u201cIt is high time that we as state institutions also show that more clearly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want discrimination against people because of their sexual identity to end in all areas of society,\u201d she added. \u201cWe want to show solidarity with all those who still experience exclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Faeser\u2019s decision comes as Chancellor Olaf Scholz\u2019s coalition of three socially liberal parties, which took office in December, pursues an agenda of social reforms.<\/p>\n<p>The government has launched a drive to remove from the country\u00b4s criminal code a ban on doctors \u201cadvertising\u201d abortion services. Among other things, it also wants to legalize the sale of cannabis for recreational purposes, ease the path to German citizenship and lift restrictions on dual citizenship.<\/p>\n<p>The government also wants to scrap 40-year-old legislation that requires transsexual people to get a psychological assessment and a court decision before officially changing gender, a process that often involves intimate questions.
