Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dw-wp-production.imgix.net\/2022\/04\/GettyImages-1235733781.jpg?w=1200&#038;h=800&#038;ixlib=react-9.3.0\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) announced Wednesday that he\u2019s reached an agreement with the governor of the Mexican state of Nuevo Le\u00f3n to secure part of the Texas-Mexico border.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Samuel Garc\u00eda signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.texas.gov\/uploads\/files\/press\/EL_GOBIERNO_DEL.pdf\">memorandum<\/a> of understanding between the State of Texas and the Free and Sovereign State of Nuevo Le\u00f3n to enhance border security measures that will prevent illegal immigration from Mexico to Texas and improve the flow of traffic across the Colombia Solidarity International Bridge,\u201d said a press release from Abbott\u2019s office. \u201cThe agreement goes into effect immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Announcing the agreement, Abbott slammed President Joe Biden for rolling back vital border security measures, such as Title 42.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTexans demand and deserve an aggressive, comprehensive border security strategy that will protect our communities from the dangerous consequences related to illegal immigration,\u201d the Republican said. \u201cUntil President Biden enforces the immigration laws passed by Congress, Texas will step up and use its own strategies to secure the border and negotiate with Mexico to seek solutions that will keep Texans safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis historic memorandum of understanding between Texas and Nuevo Le\u00f3n is a major step in the Lone Star State\u2019s efforts to secure the border in the federal government\u2019s absence,\u201d Abbott added.<\/p>\n<p>The press release noted that \u201cgovernors from Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Chihuahua, as well as the Chief Officer for the North American Unit at the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, have been in contact with the Office of the Governor and the Texas Secretary of State about signing similar memorandums.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Governor Abbott promised to send illegals immigrants pouring into his state to Washington, D.C. \u2014 a promise he delivered on this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the Biden administration ending Title 42 expulsions in May, Texas will be taking its own unprecedented actions this month to do what no state in America has ever done in the history of this country to better secure our state, as well as our nation,\u201d Abbott said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-texas-to-start-busing-illegal-immigrants-to-washington-d-c-as-biden-scraps-trump-era-border-policy\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed with hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.,\u201d the governor explained. \u201cWe are sending them to the United States capital where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-texas-to-start-busing-illegal-immigrants-to-washington-d-c-as-biden-scraps-trump-era-border-policy\">Texas To Start Busing Illegal Immigrants To Washington, D.C., As Biden Scraps Trump-Era Border\u00a0Policy<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-p8ym73\"><strong>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/texas-gov-greg-abbott-slams-bidens-lackluster-leadership-at-the-border\">Texas Gov.
