In exchange,\u00a0Gooding must continue counseling for behavioral and alcohol issues he started back in 2019.\u00a0If he continues the counseling for six more months with no arrests, he can have the misdemeanor plea reduced to a lesser violation of harassment, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/entertainment-cuba-gooding-jr-manhattan-new-york-arts-and-f98b526d43114ec803b98f8b62ab9645\">reported<\/a> the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cuba Gooding Jr. pleaded guilty to one count of forcible touching in a criminal case that accused him of violating three different women at Manhattan nightclubs in 2018 and 2019. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YzqSUPN2Hb\">https:\/\/t.co\/YzqSUPN2Hb<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/X7U0Y5g4C8\">pic.twitter.com\/X7U0Y5g4C8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Variety (@Variety) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Variety\/status\/1514325602622345217?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 13, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The plea comes about three years after the \u201cRadio\u201d star was arrested in the case following several delays as Gooding\u2019s attorney tried to get the charges against him reduced or dismissed, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/actor-cuba-gooding-jr-pleads-190715095.html\">reported<\/a> Yahoo.com.<\/p>\n<p>Gooding reportedly told the judge that he \u201ckissed the waitress on her lips\u201d without consent at the LAVO New York nightclub, the outlet noted.<\/p>\n<p>As the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/cuba-gooding-jr-guilty-forcible-touching-1235232125\/\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Gooding was arrested in June 2019 after an incident at a Manhattan club, after which he was released and the trial was delayed several times. A 29-year-old woman told police that Gooding squeezed her breast without her consent at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar &#038; Lounge near Times Square. After that incident, two more women came forward with accusations of inappropriate touching. One woman, who was a server at TAO Downtown, alleged that Gooding pinched her buttocks at the nightclub in 2018. Another woman claimed that Gooding forcibly touched her inappropriately at the LAVO New York nightclub in 2018.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It was only the LAVO nightclub accusation to which the \u201cJerry McGuire\u201d star ended up pleading guilty. Gooding previously pleaded not guilty to\u00a0six other misdemeanor charges and had denied all other accusations. The actor\u2019s attorneys argued that the accusations were trying to turn \u201ccommonplace\u201d or misunderstood gestures into crimes.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 20 women reportedly came forward to accuse the actor of groping or forcibly kissing them in allegations dating back two decades, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/04\/13\/nyregion\/cuba-gooding-jr-guilty.html\">reported<\/a> The New York Times:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Mr. Gooding had faced a criminal trial on charges of unwanted sexual touching of three women in Manhattan restaurants and nightclubs in 2018 and 2019.
