However, the Biden White House will allow its extension yet again, as federal health officials previously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/12\/white-house-coronavirus-czar-decision-on-federal-mask-mandate-will-be-based-on-evidence-and-science\/\">made<\/a> it clear that yet another extension is \u201con the table.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cThis is a CDC decision and I think it is absolutely on the table,\u201d White House coronavirus czar Ashish Jha\u00a0Monday appearance on\u00a0NBC\u2019s\u00a0<em>TODAY<\/em>, adding that the federal agency is working on a \u201cscientific framework\u201d to help Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Rochelle Walensky make a decision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cWe\u2019re going to see that framework come out, I think, in the next few days. And based on that, we\u2019re going to want to be guided by this decision. Throughout the entire pandemic, we\u2019ve wanted to make decisions based on the evidence and science,\u201d he continued, although it remains unclear how the extension of the mask mandate is based in \u201cscience,\u201d given studies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/24\/study-surgical-and-cloth-masks-filter-roughly-10-efficient-at-blocking-aerosols\/\">showing<\/a> that cloth and surgical masks are not effective at\u00a0blocking aerosols.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Even the CDC has <a href=\"https:\/\/wwwnc.cdc.gov\/eid\/article\/26\/10\/20-0948_article\">admitted<\/a> as much.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Airline corporations have explicitly demanded passengers wear masks between bites of food and sips of drinks. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FGcXAvPpvO\">https:\/\/t.co\/FGcXAvPpvO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1468690154994995202?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"\">Despite this, the agency <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/covid-health-centers-for-disease-control-and-prevention-e603a9dfc361ad095733bc868ebeba74\">announced<\/a> a two-week extension.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Airline leaders have been calling for the end of the federal mask mandate, noting that it is wholly outdated and unfair to employees, who are tasked with enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes no sense that people are still required to wear masks on airplanes, yet are allowed to congregate in crowded restaurants, schools and at sporting events without masks, despite none of these venues having the protective air filtration system that aircraft do,\u201d a March letter to the Biden White House from the\u00a0Airlines for America\u2019s (A4A) Board of Directors said, adding that lifting the rule will benefit everyone, including \u201cthousands of airline employees charged with enforcing a patchwork of now-outdated regulations implemented in response to COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to remove these mandates,\u201d Roger Dow, president of the U.S. Travel Association, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/airlines-mask-mandate-covid-cdc-deadline\/\">said<\/a>, according to CBS.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe have an unpredictable virus with many variants.
