There is no evidence the PACER Test was banned for \u201cchild cruelty\u201d in any school district.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The FitnessGram PACER Test is a \u201cmultistage aerobic capacity test\u201d intended to measure the aerobic capacity of students, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessgram.net\/pacertest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Cooper Institute<\/a>, which created the test.\u00a0Those participating in the test run back and forth while being guided by a series of beeping sounds that get progressively faster, the institute reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post appears to show a screen grab of a news article with a headline that reads, \u201cPacer Test banned for child cruelty.\u201d The image includes text that jokingly states,\u00a0\u201cI want compensation for my suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The article featured in the screen grab appears to be satirical. A keyword search found it was <a href=\"https:\/\/neomongolianewsnetwork.com\/2016\/02\/27\/pacer-test-banned-for-child-cruelty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a> in February 2016 by the \u201cNeomongolia News Network.\u201d The website\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/neomongolianewsnetwork.com\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">About us<\/a>\u201d page states \u201cNeomongolia News Network was founded by some old man in 1956, following this, it became the main news source of the nation\u2019s people. I was paid 3,000 dollars to write this give me my money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=pacer+test+banned&#038;oq=pacer+test+banned&#038;aqs=chrome.0.0i131i433i512j0i512l4j69i60l3.2610j0j7&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news reports<\/a> covering or reporting on an alleged ban of the PACER Test. The alleged ban is neither mentioned on the Cooper Institute\u2019s Fitnessgram <a href=\"https:\/\/fitnessgram.net\/stories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> nor the institute\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperinstitute.org\/blog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">main website<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/08\/17\/fact-check-mississippi-alabama-arkansas-idaho-ban-nfl-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Have These Four States Banned NFL Games?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some school districts have posted videos and photos of students running the test, suggesting the program is still being used.
