However, in the big picture, that is the highest percentage in the last year, as 50 percent also said the same in early March. But in February 2021, just 25 percent said they were comfortable with domestic air travel, with the percentage slowly increasing over the last year.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">Comfort with international air travel, the survey shows, is lagging, as 37 percent say they are comfortable doing so.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Americans\u2019 comfort with other modes of transportation, however, are even higher. Sixty-nine percent, for example, are comfortable renting a car, 55 percent are comfortable traveling by train, and 80 percent are comfortable taking a road trip.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Americans seem to be the least comfortable with international travel, as well as taking a bus, as 46 percent expressed comfort with the latter.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden on Friday was slammed for enacting travel restrictions on eight countries due to a fresh coronavirus variant after calling Former President Trump\u2019s coronavirus travel restrictions in 2020 racist and xenophobic. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7VplMCxzqF\">https:\/\/t.co\/7VplMCxzqF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1464435065878982659?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 27, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">The surveys are taken weekly among roughly 2,200 U.S. adults and have a margin of error of +\/- 2 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">It comes as the Biden White House and U.S. health officials consider extending the federal mask mandate for public transportation yet again, as it is currently set to expire in less than a week, on April 18, 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a decision that the CDC director, Dr. Walensky, is going to make,\u201d White House coronavirus czar Ashish Jha <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2022\/04\/11\/wh-covid-adviser-dr-jha-extending-mask-mandate-for-public-transportation-absolutely-on-the-table\/\">said<\/a> this week. \u201cI know the CDC is working on developing a scientific framework for how to answer that. We\u2019re going to see that framework come out, I think, in the next few days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd based on that, we\u2019re going to want to be guided by this decision. Throughout the entire pandemic, we\u2019ve wanted to make decisions based on the evidence and science.
