If a \u201cneutral\u201d map was enacted, Wasserman said it would likely cost Democrats three to four congressional seats.<\/p>\n<p>This would \u201cswing the national pendulum slightly in the GOP\u2019s favor,\u201d which would represent a \u201cwhiplash-inducing reversal of Democrats\u2019 anticipated gains,\u201d Wasserman wrote. CPR previously expected Democrats to net four to five seats in Congress but <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/30\/democrats-lose-redistricting-maryland-ohio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revised<\/a> it to only one or two in March after court decisions in Ohio and Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>Wasserman acknowledged the courts are most likely to allow the Democrat-favorable map to be used at least for the 2022 election cycle but the case is still making liberals nervous. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/08\/catherine-cortez-masto-nevada-adam-laxalt-senate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Democrats In Danger Of Losing Key Senate Seat)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7409254\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7409254\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">New York Governor Kathy Hochul speaks during a Covid-19 press conference on February 09, 2022 in New York City. Ron DeSantis\u2019 office draw the state congressional map could also wipe \u201cout Dems\u2019 national remap gains \u2013 if courts let them,\u201d Wasserman <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Redistrict\/status\/1514215663816040450\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tweeted<\/a> Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>CPR\u2019s projection is the latest bad news to hit New York Democrats this week after Lt. Gov. Brian A. Benjamin was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/12\/new-york-lt-gov-brian-benjamin-arrested-campaign-finance-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arrested<\/a> Tuesday on federal charges alleging he took part in a campaign finance scheme. Benjamin was appointed to the position in September by Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, who only became governor in August.<\/p>\n<p>New York City also suffered a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/12\/gun-shots-explosion-new-york-city-brooklyn-subway-metro-reports-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">deadly attack<\/a> on the subway Tuesday morning, which killed at least three people and injured a dozen others, exemplifying the city\u2019s violent crime wave, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/nyc-shootings-dead-wounded-hours-after-brooklyn-subway-attack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.
