The announcement could come as early as Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text__text__1FZLe text__dark-grey__3Ml43 text__regular__2N1Xr text__large__nEccO body__base__22dCE body__large_body__FV5_X article-body__element__OOj6H\" data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">\u201cThe equipment would be funded using Presidential Drawdown Authority, or PDA, in which the president can authorize the transfer of articles and services from U.S. stocks without congressional approval in response to an emergency,\u201d Reuters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/exclusive-us-announce-750-million-more-weapons-ukraine-officials-say-2022-04-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">\u201cOne of the officials said final determinations were still being made about the mix of equipment,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced just last week that the U.S. had authorized $100 million in additional military aid to Ukraine to defend itself against Russia\u2019s ongoing invasion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world has been shocked and appalled by the atrocities committed by Russia\u2019s forces in Bucha and across Ukraine. Ukraine\u2019s forces bravely continue to defend their country and their freedom, and the United States, along with our Allies and partners, stand steadfast in support of Ukraine\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity,\u201d Blinken said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.state.gov\/100-million-in-additional-u-s-security-assistance-for-ukraine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>\u00a0from the State Department.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement marked the sixth time the Department of Defense has authorized spending for Ukrainian military aid since August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have authorized, pursuant to a delegation from the President earlier today, the immediate drawdown of security assistance valued at up to $100 million to meet Ukraine\u2019s urgent need for additional anti-armor systems.\u202fThis authorization is the sixth drawdown of arms, equipment, and supplies from Department of Defense inventories for Ukraine since August 2021,\u201d the statement noted.<\/p>\n<p>The report comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky released a video in English on Twitter Wednesday calling for Western nations to \u201carm Ukraine now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/watch-zelensky-warns-of-endless-bloodbath-unless-outside-nations-send-additional-weapons-to-ukraine-to-stop-russia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new video<\/a> on Wednesday that Russia\u2019s invasion will become an \u201cendless bloodbath\u201d unless Ukraine receives additional weapons.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cWithout additional weaponry, this war will become an endless bloodbath, spreading misery, suffering, and destruction. Mariupol, Bucha, Kramatorsk \u2013 the list will be continued.
