It&#8217;s, like, triggering.&#8221; Cullors, who <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/04\/10\/inside-blm-co-founder-patrisse-khan-cullors-real-estate-buying-binge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">purchased<\/a> millions of dollars&#8217; worth in real estate from her perch as BLM&#8217;s executive director, also said that she &#8220;did not know what 990s were&#8221; until recently and felt &#8220;deeply unsafe&#8221; having to fill one out for the nonprofit.<\/p>\n<p>The event was first reported by the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>\u2018s Andrew Kerr, who in January also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/blms-millions-go-unaccounted-for-after-leaders-quietly-jump-ship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a0how BLM has no apparent leader after Cullors&#8217;s resignation in May 2021 and how the group still won&#8217;t say who is responsible for overseeing $60 million in funds.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cullors: &#8220;This doesn&#8217;t seem safe for us, this 990 structure \u2014 this nonprofit system structure. Its finances, including Cullors&#8217;s purchase of four homes for $3.2 million in the same year, became public following its 990 disclosures in 2021.
