Barbara Gleim, who cited University of Pennsylvanian swimmer Lia Thomas, the biological man who recently won the\u00a0500-yard freestyle at the NCAA Women\u2019s championships,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyitem.com\/cnhi_network\/state-house-passes-bill-designating-sports-by-sex\/article_0a8a8130-7942-5b2b-b41e-12ff70052421.html\">stated bluntly<\/a>, \u201cWomen lose out on a fair playing field when forced to compete against biological men.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wolf has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.pa.gov\/newsroom\/gov-wolf-issues-statement-on-hate-targeting-transgender-pennsylvanians\/\">stated<\/a> of Rachel Levine, the biological man who serves as the United States assistant secretary for Health and Human Services, \u201cDr. Levine is a distinguished and accomplished public servant. She is committed to keeping Pennsylvanians safe and healthy, even those who direct hate-fueled attacks at her.
