Ron DeSantis (R) said during a Tuesday press conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s important to point out that we had the worst inflation report that this country has had in 40 years in March, it keeps going up every month,\u201d DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/live\/?ref=notif&#038;v=728346681503130&#038;notif_id=1649776252016468&#038;notif_t=live_video\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cYou know, you go back last year, they said inflation wasn\u2019t a worry even though a lot of us were saying that this was gonna be a problem when you\u2019re printing trillions and trillions of dollars,\u201d he continued, adding that the \u201cidea that you can just do that infinitum without there being any consequences was completely foolhardy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Labor Department, inflation has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/04\/12\/u-s-inflation-jumped-8-5-in-past-year-highest-since-1981\/\">soared<\/a> 8.5 percent in the last year, but DeSantis said the ramifications are even worse than the bare figures suggest, as\u00a0\u201call the things that really matter are going up significantly more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI mean look gasoline up about 50 percent over the last year plus used cars up 35 percent, to be able to get a used car.
