Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/220406Fight.pdf\">leads<\/a> the Republican field in Wisconsin\u2019s gubernatorial primary race, according to a recent poll from Remington Research Group (RRG).<\/p>\n<p>The poll showed\u00a0Kleefisch with a double-digit lead against the rest of the Republican field. The poll was conducted on behalf of\u00a0Fighting for Wisconsin SuperPAC, which backs\u00a0Kleefisch\u2019s opponent,\u00a0Kevin Nicholson.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Forty-two percent of the\u00a0likely 2022 Republican primary voters who participated in the\u00a0survey said they would vote for \u00a0Kleefisch, a 13 point lead against the closest competitor.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty-nine percent of the respondents said they support Nicholson, and only four percent said they supported\u00a0Eric Hovde. However, 26 percent said they were\u00a0undecided.<\/p>\n<p>The poll also found that\u00a0Kleefisch was the most factorability out of all three candidates. Fifty-five percent said they viewed\u00a0Kleefisch favorably, while only 16 percent viewed her negatively.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, 37\u00a0percent said they viewed\u00a0Nicholson favorably, while only 12 percent viewed him negatively. And only 11 percent said they viewed Hovde favorably, while only 12 percent viewed him negatively.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/11\/exclusive-rebecca-kleefisch-democrat-gov-tony-evers-has-promoted-lawlessness-in-wisconsin\/\"><em>Breitbart News Saturday<\/em><\/a>\u00a0interview, Kleefisch touted her endorsements from\u00a0law enforcement representatives instead of the Democrat incumbent\u00a0Gov. Tony Evers and hit his record.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need someone who\u2019s tough on crime, and I\u2019m the choice of law enforcement in Wisconsin, been endorsed by more than half of our sheriffs and the Milwaukee Police Association, the Kenosha Police Association,\u201d\u00a0Kleefisch explained.<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News\u2019 Ashley Oliver noted:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Evers gained a reputation in 2020 for avoiding National Guard assistance at times and sympathizing with Black Lives Matter protesters and rioters at the expense of peace, primarily in the small city of Kenosha.<\/p>\n<p>Following violent riots stemming from George Floyd protests occurring across Wisconsin during the late spring and early summer of 2020, renewed\u00a0<a title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/08\/24\/video-kenosha-protester-points-gun-at-a-reporter-as-rioters-set-fires-attack-businesses-for-second-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rioting<\/a>\u00a0occurred in August 2020 in Kenosha after Jacob Blake, a black man facing multiple criminal charges, was shot seven times by a police officer there and left paralyzed.<\/p>\n<p>The rioting, which became destructive and deadly, occurred after Evers posted a string of statements online following the Blake incident,\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovEvers\/status\/1297739246724210689?s=20&#038;t=USRy_AxhqqliJT7ZUdAvyA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">failing<\/a>\u00a0to call for peaceful protests. Evers instead condemned \u201cracism\u201d and wrote that he stood with those who demand \u201cjustice, equity, and accountability for Black lives in our country.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTony Evers has sided with the far-left fringes of the Democratic Party,\u201d Kleefisch added. \u201cAnd it\u2019s really sad because this is the defund the police movement-style rhetoric that we know damages morale in police departments across the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The survey questions were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/220406Fight.pdf\">conducted<\/a> between\u00a0March 31 and April 2, with\u00a01,207 likely 2022 Republican primary voters participating.
