Musk himself hasn\u2019t discussed his plans publicly beyond sending a cryptic tweet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bloomberg <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2022-04-11\/twitter-staff-super-stressed-over-musk-board-chaos-on-day-off\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span> that \u201cthe vibe\u201d at corporate headquarters is \u201csuper stressed,\u201d with employees \u201cworking together to help each other get through the week.\u201d The company was already scheduled to have a \u201cDay of Rest\u201d on Monday, but this mental health break did nothing to alleviate the panic felt by many, the report claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One employee who insisted on remaining anonymous said they were concerned that Musk was \u201cjust getting started, which is unfortunate.\u201d Other colleagues described the current happenings as a \u201cs*** show.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMusk\u2019s immediate chilling effect was something that bothered me significantly,\u201d AI research team director Rumman Chowdhury shared. \u201cTwitter has a beautiful culture of hilarious constructive criticism, and I saw that go silent because of his minions attacking employees.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The anxiety stems from an announcement that came from Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal Sunday night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cElon Musk has decided not to join our board,\u201d he <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hostile-takeover-inbound-world-reacts-to-musk-not-joining-twitters-board-as-he-posts-cryptic-tweet\"><span>said in a statement<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cWe announced on Tuesday that Elon would be appointed to the Board contingent on a background check and formal acceptance. Elon\u2019s appointment to the board was to become officially effective 4\/9, but Elon shared that same morning that he will no longer be joining the board.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThere will be distractions ahead, but our goals and priorities remain unchanged,\u201d Agrawal continued. \u201cThe decisions we make and how we execute is in our hands, no one else\u2019s. Let\u2019s tune out the noise, and stay focused on the work and what we\u2019re building.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A Q&#038;A session between Musk and employees was canceled. Then came the Tesla founder\u2019s cryptic tweet of a face emoji holding a hand over its mouth, an emoji he later deleted<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Followers on social media weren\u2019t shy about making predictions for the future, which they believe could end with Musk taking over the whole social media site.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHostile takeover inbound,\u201d Austen Allred, CEO Bloom Institute of Technology, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Austen\/status\/1513363444623294471\"><span>tweeted<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cMy read of this: (I\u2019m guessing). 1. Twitter board wakes up to realize Elon owns 9% of the company. There\u2019s a path to him taking over. 2. Offers a board seat contingent upon him not buying too many shares. Try to contain. 3. Negotiations break down on term details. 4. ???\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>They noted how a board seat didn\u2019t translate into much power, but holding a larger percentage of the company could make a huge difference.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis decision by Elon does not bode well for Twitter,\u201d social media consultant Matt Navarra told Bloomberg. \u201cTwitter thought having Trump on the platform was tough.
