Joe Manchin (D-WV) publicly slammed President Joe Biden for Tuesday\u2019s terrible inflation numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a disservice to the American people to act as if inflation is a new phenomenon,\u201d Manchin\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jordainc\/status\/1513897325516791820?s=20&#038;t=l6N5ekV6SHVyeQWpFVMAsQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0in a press release. \u201cThe Federal Reserve and the Administration failed to act fast enough, and today\u2019s data is a snapshot in time of the consequences being felt across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The Labor Department released numbers on Tuesday showing the\u00a0consumer price index soared 8.5 percent in one year, the largest year-over-year increase since 1981. Biden\u2019s 40-year-high inflation will reportedly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/31\/joe-bidens-inflation-cost-americans-extra-5200-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cost<\/a>\u00a0consumers an extra $5,200 in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of acting boldly, our elected leaders and the Federal Reserve continue to respond with half-measures and rhetorical failures searching for where to lay the blame,\u201d Manchin stated about Biden\u2019s unwillingness to accept responsibility.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">SHOT \/\/ CHASER <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fdr2Z0y9Ml\">pic.twitter.com\/fdr2Z0y9Ml<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kyle Martinsen (@KyleMartinsen_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KyleMartinsen_\/status\/1513910008299372548?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 12, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Indeed, the White House has refused to take responsibility for\u00a0the 40-year-high inflation. What it once\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/the-media\/2022\/03\/09\/media-adopts-bidens-strategy-of-blaming-putin-for-gigantic-gas-prices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">called<\/a>\u00a0\u201ctransitory inflation\u201d is now \u201cPutin\u2019s price hike.\u201d Before that spin, CNN\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/12\/01\/economy\/inflation-good-bad-winners-losers\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">dubbed<\/a>\u00a0inflation as \u201cgood,\u201d which the\u00a0<em>Washington Post <\/em>noted some preferred to<em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2022\/03\/10\/democrats-in-denial-about-inflation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reframe<\/a>\u00a0as \u201ccorporate greed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Manchin then circled back and walloped Biden again by suggesting his costly \u201cBuild Back Batter\u201d agenda is deader than ever due to inflation. Manchin\u00a0questioned how the U.S. could spend massive amounts of money on\u00a0socialism during the explosion of inflation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere is the truth, we cannot spend our way to a balanced, healthy economy and continue adding to our $30 trillion national debt,\u201d Manchin explained.<\/p>\n<p>Manchin sank much of Biden\u2019s costly agenda in December 2021, but not before the Washington, DC, establishment passed trillions of spending in the spring of that year. Many experts say the huge spending \u2014\u00a0along with the supply chain crisis and coronavirus restrictions \u2014 fueled inflation, .<\/p>\n<p>The White House tried to get ahead of the terrible numbers on Monday by stating it expected the report would show inflation wildly out of control.
